3 1 Safety Information Warning This product should not be used by individuals with a pacemaker or other implanted medical devices as it passes a low level electrical signal through the body which may interfere with its operation. This product is also not suitable for women during pregnancy! This body scale is intended for adults (ages ) with inactive to moderately active lifestyles. DO NOT MODIFY THIS EQUIPMENT WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER BEYOND WHAT IS DEEMED SAFE IN THIS MANUAL Bluetooth Smart Scale Care Protect the unit against moisture and keep away from liquids. Clean using a dampened cloth after use. Do not expose scale to direct sunlight Do not leave scale in area of extreme temperature or humidity. Device not intended for people with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities unless under observation by a person that can ensure its safe and proper use. Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the device yourself. Only store flat and on an even surface to maintain correct calibration for every use. How to Ensure Accurate Readings Always measure barefoot. Do not step on unit with wet feet, wearing socks or shoes to prevent slipping, damage and inaccurate readings Recommended to be placed on hard flat surface only. Always weigh yourself on the same scale, same place and same surface if possible. Recommended Measurement Times is after waking up but before breakfast (optimal), 2 hours after recent meal but before the next meal, or before bed but 2 hours after dinner. Erroneous measurements can occur if feet are dirty, dry or extremely callous. Body fat percentage estimates will vary with the amount of water in the body, and can be affected by dehydration or over-hydration due to such factors as alcohol consumption, menstruation, illness, intense exercise. Stand upright and not to the edge of the scale to ensure good contact with the film or electrodes (the film and electrodes both are conductive media depending scale models). OKOK International cares more for your health, starting from helping you manage your body weight and using your body health indices information, it provides you with adequate suggestions for exercise, food and sleep. Monitoring your health indices 24 hours a day, it helps you to exercise more actively, eat better and sleep well. Adding the batteries: The scale uses three AAA batteries, which are supplied. These are non-rechargeable batteries and no attempt should be made to recharge these. Remove the back cover and add the 3x AAA batteries in the direction indicated. Replace the cover. The Display should light up now when you press on the glass surface of the scales. If not used, it will power off after about 20 seconds. A faulty operation would make it power off. 4-18

5 Remove the batteries if you are planning to store the device for a long period of time. We hope you use your device for many years of course, but long periods of storage with the batteries in place may damage the device and will cause the batteries to discharge. Replace the set of batteries (3x AAA) in the right direction when the LCD words twinkling and further show "LO". Note: Do not tamper or attempt to open the unit in which the battery is housed, your warranty will be invalidated. Substances contained within the battery may damage the environment or human health if handled and there may be a risk of electrical shock or burns. When disposing of this product, ensure that it is collected separately for special treatment and not as normal household waste. How does the Bluetooth Smart Scale work This Bluetooth Smart Scale uses BIA (Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis) technology to calculate body fat mass, lean mass, total body water and bone mass. The general principle behind: two or more conductors (electrode or ITO film) on the scale contact person's body and a small electric current is sent through the body. The resistance between the conductors will provide a measure of body fat. NOTE: This device is a personal monitor and should be used in a consistent manner for the most accurate reading. While readings of this analyzer might be different with that of others (hydrodensitometry or hand held calipers), your changes in body fat percentage shown by this device will be reflected accurately. While this analyzer will work accurately as a scale for anyone and give accurate body fat readings for a majority of people, it is not intended for being used by pregnant women or children under the age of 18. The best time to measure your body composition Our water content can vary at different times during the day and since body fat percentage is calculated by measuring the water content, our body fat reading can also vary throughout the day. There is no right or wrong time of the day to take a reading, but we find it most consistent to measure our body weight and water content first thing in the morning before eating or drinking and after using the toilet. It is about making the measurement consistent. Taking measurement after having a bath or sauna, or following intensive exercise, or within 1-2 hours of drinking in quantity or eating a meal is going to distort the values generated. Never attempt to take readings when you are wet, after a shower or vigorous exercise. Make sure that the scale is placed on a level, hard surface. DO NOT attempt to use the scale on a carpeted surface erroneous values will be generated. 5-18

6 3 Getting Started This following steps will instruct you how to use the Bluetooth Smart Scale: 1) Install the Free OKOK International App to Your ios or Android Smartphone or Tablet, register as user. 2) Pair the Bluetooth Smart Scale to your Smartphone or tablet and start measuring and start measuring. 3) How to take routine readings and explore the functions. If you follow these sequentially, it will take you about 5-10 minutes to learn about how to measure your body weight and composition. 6-18

7 1) Install Free OKOK International App to Your ios or Android Smartphone or Tablet, register as a user. Note: The Bluetooth Smart Scale uploads your data directly to your Free OKOK International account via your Smartphone or tablet which must be Bluetooth 4.0 enabled. The scale will not work fully if you do not have a Bluetooth 4.0 enabled Smartphone or Tablet. If you want to measure weight only, not required of Smartphone or tablet. If you want to measure weight only but with data uploaded on App. It is not a must to take off socks. If you want to measure weight and body composition, you need to take off socket to let your feet contact with film or electrode which is for conducting micro-electrical current passing through your body. 8 Register for a Free Account Once you have installed the OKOK International App, open the App making sure your phone or tablets is connected to the internet or web for the first time. If you have already registered, you can login to your account. Click Login. If you have not previously registered, then follow below procedure: Join Us ---> Enter into and password --->Name --->Gender--->Age--->Height Congratulations, you have completed the registration. As you complete the information, the APP begins to learn more about you. These data are used to help you with your self-management through self-monitoring. You can always edit these private data later if you make an error, but please make sure the data are accurate in entering your weight, your height and age when you start using the scale to measure data. These are important data relating accuracy of composition measurement. If you are registered and forget the Password, please click Login, and select Forget password, type you , new password and Click Obtain Vcode (abbreviation for verify code), it will send a code to your . Type the code obtained from your . Click Submit and you regain the ID. 8-18

9 2) Pair the Bluetooth Smart Scale to your Smartphone or tablet and start measuring. To start taking measurements first, you need to pair the scale and phone or tablet. Insert/replace the batteries. Please remove the battery cover underneath the scale and insert 3 AAA batteries (included) into your device. Make sure the polarity is correct when done. Then slide the battery cover back. Note: Make sure that the Scale is placed on a level, hard surface. Do not attempt to use the Bluetooth Smart Scale on a carpeted surface erroneous values will be generated. Login in with your ID or you can click Tourist model. The Interface will be as below, Click No paired device? Click the pair key area. 9-18

10 or you can click the left corner OKOK Bluetooth Scale. icon. Click Settings, then click My Scale. Click Bind/Pair Either way will pop up following user interface. Follow it, stand on the scale to wake up scale (the Bluetooth for the scale will function automatically when the scale is pressed), ensuring the LCD display is always lit when you pair the devices. The pairing process is automatically running in a silent way as the Bluetooth Scale adopts no coding pairing methods. It will remind you Scale founded, bind/pair it now! Click Bind/Pair, then the pairing process finished

11 Note: You only need to pair the device the first time, once paired all subsequent usage should automatically pair to the device as long as the device Bluetooth and scale is both ON. You may encounter the situation that data can not been synced to smartphone/tablet though paired or paired a long time ago. Please try to: a Clean cache. Click " Remove cache. If it doesn't work, or " icon on the top left corner, go to settings----> b Unpair the scale. Click " " icon on top left corner, go to settings ---> My Scale ---> Unpair. Click unpair and start pairing again. Reading the Data from the body analyzer. After finishing the pair process. You are quite ready to explore the journey to measure weight and body composition The Bluetooth Smart Scale use BIM technology, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIM) is a method of measuring body fat percentage by sending a low-level, safe, electrical current through the body. Therefore, you need to remove your shoes and socks, then stand on the smart scale. Make sure your feet contact with the film coating/electrode to make an electricity circuit. The scale will fail to measure body composition if your feet are too dry or in particular dry and cracked heels to make a connection, for this circumstance, try to moistening your feet with a damp tissue or cloth or exfoliating to take readings. Never attempt to take reading when you are wet after a shower/bath or sauna/steam room or after vigorous exercise. A summary of your data is then displayed on the APP screen, and the scale display only shows your weight. Each Registered ID allows other 7 family members, you can easily view their body health status through one App. Of course, family members can each have their own registered ID. You can monitor weight, Fat (%), Bone mass, Muscle (%), Water (%), Visceral Fat (%), BMR and BMI for you and family members

12 3) How to take routine readings and explore the App functions Understanding your information The information for each person that can be uploaded is: Weight (kg or lb), Fat (%), Bone Mass, Muscle (%), Water (%), Visceral Fat (%), BMR and BMI. You can then view these data. The great thing about OKOK International App is that you can upload and permanently store your data on your own secure OKOK account, so that you may review your information, monitor your activity and share with your social links. We find it a powerful motivator if you measure yourself frequently, if not daily ideally every morning. Not only does this give you great looking graphs, it is also a powerful motivation to keep being active, make healthier food choices throughout the day and achieve healthy body weight and composition! Weight Your weight is calculated and stored in the cloud. For a single view of your weight, it will show your weight in relation to your target weight, and you can view weight changes over a week, month, quarter through "Trend" menu. Body Fat % This value can serve as a guide to whether you need to adjust your diet, fitness program or fluid intake to help you to achieve a healthy balance. Our bodies comprise of bone, fat and muscle. Fat is vital for a healthy, functioning body it protects vital organs, cushions joints, helps regulate body temperature, stores vitamins and helps the body sustain itself when food is in short supply. But too much or too little body fat can be damaging to our health. This is why it is important to measure and monitor our body fat percentage using the Bluetooth Smart Scale. Body fat percentage gives us a good measure of wellness when used in conjunction with weight if we are aiming to lose weight, our weight loss could be because we are losing muscle mass rather than fat - we can still have a high percentage of fat even when a scale indicates normal weight. 13 Water % Total Body Water (TBW) as a percentage gives us an understanding of our hydration level. Water is a vital element in the majority of the body s functions and can be found in every cell, tissue, and organ. A healthy TBW% needs to be maintained to ensure that we are operating at maximum efficiency. Hydration levels fluctuate throughout the day, so use this measurement as a guide and not your absolute and note that eating large meals, drinking alcohol, menstruation, illness, exercising and bathing may cause variations in your hydration level. Optimal water % s for Women 45-60% and Men 50-65%. Muscle Mass % Knowing our muscle mass percentage is useful if we are undergoing any changes in our exercise regime or undertaking a program of weight loss. Lean muscle mass may decrease by nearly 50% between the ages of 20 and 90. We can replace this loss with fat if we don't maintain our exercise levels. We can also lose muscle rather than fat if we undergo starvation-type diets, which are not recommended. At rest, the body burns approximately 110 additional calories for each kilo of muscle gained. So if we come off a starvation-type diet, we actually put on more weight as fat. Ideally we want to maintain our muscle mass % while reducing fat %. Bone Mass % Similar to MUSCLE MASS percentage, understanding changes in our BONE MASS % can be useful, especially during weight reduction programs. The more visceral fat you have the greater the chance of developing insulin resistance (leading to type 2 diabetes), heart disease and high blood pressure. The Bluetooth Smart Scale gives a visceral fat percentage for rating. Visceral fat percentage between 1% 9%: Indicates that we have a healthy level of visceral fat. Visceral fat percentage more than 9%: Indicates that we could have excess visceral fat and we may wish to consider modifying our diet or increasing our exercise levels. Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) Your BMR is calculated by the smart scales and is a measure of the number of calories required to keep your body functioning at rest, also known as your metabolism. Body Mass Index (BMI) Body Mass Index (BMI) is an index of weight-for-height that is routinely used to classify underweight, overweight and obesity in adults

A single tap on weight or fat area will pop up the automatically generated report, scoring your body health status and giving you advice. Your personal information is related with score algorithm, thus please make sure edit your personal gender, height, age correctly. Note: 1) The score function is based on evaluation of fat measurements. 2) If your phone is not available for pairing when you are weighing, you can later click + icon and add the weight to maintain a full track of daily weights. Kindly notice you can add weight data only. 3) The measurements will be synced into App automatically when devices are paired, you can deleted unnecessary measurements in recent 7 days. After then, all measurements would be archived and saved permanently. Click the right corner " " icon, share your exercise achievement with your friends.
