Because Pastini cares abut ur cmmunity, we develped ur Pasta-thn prgram t benefit ur neighbrhd schls and nn-prfits that make a psitive impact lcally. The Pasta-thn prgram has been huge success fr us and ur many partners, but because f increasing demand we have had t change the parameters in terms f the grups we partner with. As f April 1 st 2012 ur Pasta-thn partner guidelines will be as fllws: We will cntinue t partner with: Schls-bth public and private Schl classes and schl event fundraisers (example- Senir Class Grad Party) Schl academic teams (ex. rbtics teams) Schl prgrams and departments, such as Drama, Music Lcal nn-prfit rganizatins and lcal branches f natinal nn-prfits Fraternities, srrities and clubs that are rganizing a fundraiser fr a lcal cause (ex.theta Alpha Phi s Pasta fr Casa) We cannt partner with: Cmmunity sprts teams Schl and cllege sprts teams Schl and cllege clubs Benefit run teams Individual recipients Churches Plitical rganizatins Nn-prfits that have an internatinal fcus (such as Fd Aid r Dctrs withut Brders) Kindergartens and day care Our gal at Pastini is t help ur cmmunities, especially lcal schls. We hnr and appreciate all peple and grups that wrk hard t make ur wrld a better place and we wish that we can accept every Pasta-thn request we receive. Thank yu fr yur understanding!

2 What is a pasta-thn? A Pasta-thn is a prgram we have develped t partner with schls and nn-prfits t raise funds fr them and allw Pastini t give back t the cmmunity. Yu may have participated in smething similar already. It ffers the schl/rganizatin a fun pprtunity t raise mney, while widening Pastini s reach int the cmmunity and attracting lyal custmers. Basically the pasta-thns cnsists f designating tw days, which must be a Mnday-Tuesday in a particular week, fr supprters t cme in and dine at lunch r dinner, r t rder takeut fd. All they d is bring in their flyer r just mentin the name f the schl/rganizatin. Pastini will dnate 50% f the net prceeds back t the schl r nn-prfit, which equates t 20% f the mney spent by supprters. S, fr every $100 spent, $20 will be dnated. Pastini prvides ur clrful pasta-thn materials, custmized fr yur schl/rganizatin. These include 10 cmplimentary psters, pdf s fr -able flyers and printable flyers, plus help advertising the event thrugh ur e-list and n ur website, Facebk, etc. Yu prmte the event thrugh yur netwrk f supprters. In ther wrds, a pasta-thn fr yur schl r rganizatin! Which Pastini Lcatins Participate in the pasta-thn Prgram? Pasta-thns are held at all ur lcatins except ur Dwntwn lcatin (lcated n SW 9 th and Taylr). Chsing Dates Yu can bk yur Pasta-thn up t a year in advance. If the Pasta-thn is mre than fur mnths away, we can reserve yur date and keep yur infrmatin n file. If yu wuld like yur prmtinal materials right away, we will custmize and print them fr yu. If yu wuld like t wait until the event is clser, it is up t yur rganizatin t cntact the ffice tw mnths prir yur event s we can have time t get yur materials ready. We d nt hld pasta-thns n hlidays. These include Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memrial Day, Labr Day, Clumbus Day, r any natinal hliday that will land n a Mnday r Tuesday that year. If selecting dates between Thanksgiving and Christmas, keep in mind that this is when ur stres are busiest and yur supprters might encunter lnger wait times fr tables then usual and this culd impact the success f yur event. We als d nt bk pasta-thns fr the week preceding Christmas, r the week between Christmas and New Year s Eve. Due t the busy shpping seasn, we d nt bk Pasta-thns at ur Bridgeprt Village and Cedar Hills lcatins frm Thanksgiving t the New Year. Hw des Pastini help prmte yur pasta-thn? We will prvide all f yur prmtinal materials. These include a pster with matching flyers and a digital file yu can use fr nline prmting. After yu send us yur applicatin and we cnfirm

3 yur pasta-thn dates, we will have yur materials custmized and frwarded t yu. This generally takes abut tw weeks. We will als prmte yur event n ur website under the Cmmunity page: If yu wuld like yur annuncement t link t a website, let us knw and we will add it! Hw much can yur rganizatin expect t make frm a pasta-thn? The amunt f mney yu raise depends n the size f yur rganizatin, hw many peple in the cmmunity supprt it and hw much yu prmte the event. We have had Pasta-thn events that have brught in as much as $900, but sme have nly earned $50-$100. Lts f willing supprters and feet n the grund are key t yur success! It als depends n what yur supprters spend. If each supprter spends $10.00 a persn, nly $2.00 will be dnated per diner. This means that yu will need t have 50 peple cme in and mentin yur event t make $ S when yu prmte, encurage yur supprters bring family and friends and rder a bttle f wine r dessert-they mre they enjy, the mre mney yur grup will make! The restaurant will als be pen t the general public the days f yur event, but nly mney spent by peple wh mentin yur rganizatin will g int the dnatin pl. We want t make sure yu knw that nly what yur supprters spend is cunted tward the ttal amunt f the dnatin pl. Yu will receive 20% f the mney in the dnatin pl. We d nt ffer events where we ffer a percentage f the full day s ttal receipts frm all sales. Prmting Yur pasta-thn Hw yu prmte the event is up t yu! Ideas that thers grups have had in the past have included: Creating a Facebk page fr the event. ing the event t yur mailing list. Printing the event in a newsletter mailer. Handing ut flyers at lcal events (always check t see if this is allwed) Adding the event t lcal cmmunity calendars. Have yur supprters prvide links n their Facebk Page t spread the wrd t their friends. Displaying psters in yur ffice and cmmunity. Yu can display brchures at ur frnt desk and have a cllectin bx during the days f yur Pasta-thn! We want yur pasta-thn t be a success, hwever we ask that yu d nt hand ut flyers in frnt f the participating Pastini during yur event. Pasta-thns nly wrk if peple cme t dine specifically t supprt yur rganizatin.

4 The success f yur Pasta-thn is cmpletely up t yu! Hw we keep track f yur pasta-thn sales When a custmer gives their server a flyer r tells them that they are eating at Pastini t supprt yur Pasta-thn, the server marks the ticket r credit card slip with special stamp. The Stamped tickets are bundled tgether and sent t the main ffice and ur bkkeepers tally the ttals. Yu shuld expect t receive the results frm yur pasta-thn within ne week f the event.
