2 Assistant Buyer Direct Materials (OE) (2 roles) Title Assistant Buyer Direct Materials Department Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Direct OE Location Corporate HQ Griffin House (Luton) Brands Vauxhall, Opel The Department: GPSC (Global Purchasing and Supply Chain) contains the Purchasing, Logistics and Quality groups responsible for the procurement of parts, equipment and services for GM operations in the UK, Europe and the World. The job of GPSC is to source these at the best possible prices while ensuring efficient deliveries and that they are manufactured to the highest Quality. The Direct Material Production Purchase department, as part of the GM GPSC, is responsible for the procurement and supply continuity of bought out parts to maintain car production to world-class levels in Quality, Service, Technology and Price at GM plants globally. The Assistant Buyer will assist in all aspects of Purchasing including sourcing parts, negotiating with suppliers, presenting findings by face-to-face presentations and telephone conferences whilst actively seeking cost saving opportunities for GM worldwide. The Assistant Buyer will work in teams consisting of colleagues from all over Europe and often worldwide. There will also be frequent contact with Supplier Quality, Engineering, Finance, Materials Planning and Control (MPC). There may also be the opportunity to travel to visit suppliers or Opel/Vauxhall HQ in Germany. Support OE buyers with sourcing for production parts on various projects Support with price and service negotiations Support with Identification and implementation of cost savings Generating contracts using the GM specific Global Purchasing system. Involvement in Supplier Quality issues Preparation of sourcing presentations for management approval Preparing information for meetings Managing, evaluating and processing quotations Support with Engineering changes and contract maintenance The candidate will gain a detailed understanding of the GPSC (Global Purchasing and Supply Chain) process with particular focus on supplier selection, quotation evaluation and price negotiations. There will be extensive use of the GM specific computer software (Global Purchasing System) and a variety of communication tools. The experience should also give valuable insights into modern company behaviours and practices, as well as a detailed introduction to the motor industry. 4 Buyer Vauxhall Special Vehicles Procurement Title Buyer Sales & Marketing Procurement Department Purchasing Vauxhall Sales & Marketing Special Vehicles Procurement Location Corporate HQ Griffin House (Luton) Brands Vauxhall, Opel, Milbrook Proving Ground The Department: GPSC (Global Purchasing and Supply Chain) contains the Purchasing, Logistics and Quality groups responsible for the procurement of parts, equipment and services for GM operations in the UK, Europe and the World. The job of GPSC is to source these at the best possible prices while ensuring efficient deliveries and that they are manufactured to the highest Quality. Part of the worldwide General Motors Global Purchasing & Supply Chain, responsible for the procurement of Sales & Marketing related Services for Vauxhall and Opel. The department is also responsible for providing Purchasing services to European National Sales Companies (Paris, Rome, Athens, etc.) and many other Manufacturing Plants in Europe. We also provide Purchasing services for our Test Track; Laboratory and Vehicle Conversions business which is located at the Millbrook Proving Ground, close to our Luton offices. The Buyer will assist in all aspects of Purchasing including sourcing of Goods & Services, negotiating with suppliers, preparing sourcing cases, participation on telephone conferences as well as becoming competent with the procurement systems (SAP / Dynamics). The Buyer will primarily be working to support the area of Proving Ground Services and Vehicle Conversions. The role entails a wide variety of interesting and challenging sourcing cases. A major part of the role is component part sourcing for Special Vehicles as well as the Police and Emergency Services. Other responsibilities could involve supporting procurement activities in the Sales & Marketing side of the business; both for the Vauxhall brand in the U.K. and Opel Europe. Typical activities experienced would be: conducting Request for Quotations, Supplier visits, Quote analysis, Stakeholder Reviews, Supplier Negotiations, etc. A high level of responsibility will be given and requires the ability to multi-task and achieve sometimes tough deadlines. There will be high degree of interaction with internal stakeholders, suppliers and international personnel; therefore being able to communicate effectively at all levels are important. In all cases, strong assistance, training and support will be given from your colleagues within the Purchasing team. Sourcing Contracts, this involves: Supplier visits with internal stakeholders to evaluate capabilities o Supplier negotiation o Preparation and presentation of sourcing recommendations Issuing Requests for Quotation o Liaison with Internal stakeholders and Suppliers o Commercial analysis & evaluation

5 The candidate will gain a detailed understanding of the Purchasing process with particular focus on competitive tendering and negotiation practices. There will be extensive use of specific computer software and a variety of communication tools. The experience should also give valuable insights into behaviours and practices of a major Global Corporation, as well as a detailed introduction to the Motor Industry. Aftersales Purchasing - as part of the GM Global Purchasing and Supply Chain - is responsible for the procurement and continuity of bought-out parts and accessories, at world-class levels in terms of Quality, Service, Technology and Price to GM Warehouses throughout the world. Furthermore, customers are turning more and more to the use of accessories to tune their vehicles with their lifestyle. The role will support the buyers of interior and exterior car accessories - within GME Aftersales Purchasing - responsible for body tuning, interior mats, mouldings and splashguards (mudflaps) to name but a few familiar accessories as well as a host of other new initiatives for upcoming projects. The successful candidate will support the sourcing process from first concept to supplier selection and then work with downstream functions, where necessary, to bring the product to market. Since GME Aftersales is effectively a retailing organization, the availability of service parts and accessories for launch and throughout the model lifecycle is key to its success. Receiving and interpreting specifications and statements of requirement. Issuing requests for quotation. Evaluation of quotations and supporting technical reviews with suppliers. Preparation of final sourcing recommendations. Liaison with other Aftersales functions to answer questions or issues. Presenting recommendations at Aftersales Sourcing Committee Support with contract maintenance and supplier/internal customer liaison. In addition to gaining a detailed understanding of the GPSC (Global Purchasing and Supply Chain) Aftersales process, the candidate will gain an understanding of the entire Aftersales organisation by some cross-functional interface. There will be extensive use of the GM specific computer software (e.g. Global Purchasing

9 System) and a variety of communication tools. The experience should also give valuable insights into modern company behaviours and practices, as well as a detailed introduction to the motor industry and the Aftersales function as a whole. 10 UK Supply Chain Specialist Title UK Supply Chain Specialist Department UK Supply Chain Location Parts Distribution Centre, Toddington Road Brands Vauxhall, Opel, Chevrolet The Department: Supply Chain is the department within GM Europe CCA (Customer Care & Aftersales) responsible for the Forecasting, Planning and Scheduling of parts in the UK, Germany, Spain and six European PDC S (parts distribution centres), from over 1000 global suppliers based. We control an inventory in the UK in excess of parts worth in excess of 40M and support 20,000 retailer orders per day. Supply Chain is responsible for achieving high standards of customer service by providing the highest levels of parts availability to our customers whilst minimising inventory investment in our distribution centres. We perform a critical role towards the overall Company vision to be the best automotive company in the UK. The role of the Supply Chain Specialist involves providing an analytical and operational support to the UK/Ireland team to assist in both the day-to-day operation and the long-term strategic planning of the inventory. Measurement of Vauxhall operational performance versus various Key Performance Indicators, including Availability (OTIF) and Back Order Rates. Contact with GM suppliers to manage inbound schedule and expedite deliveries. Work with internal Vauxhall/Opel divisions to improve processes which enhance customer experience. Manage escalated customer cases and support New Vehicle/Fleet/Commercial Vehicle planning. Compilation of statistical data and information on a daily, weekly and monthly basis using PC based software (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Preparation of presentations on various subjects as required; regular communication of statistical information to Senior and Middle Management. Close contact with Warehouse operations to support operational objective. Required Skills: The successful candidate needs a passion for customer experience excellence. Structured planning and organisational skills is essential. Effective communication skills are required as there is a need to develop relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers. This individual must be self-motivated and have an excellent level of computer literacy.

11 GEPICs and Scheduling Coordinator Title GEPICs and Scheduling Coordinator Undergraduate Department Supply Chain Location Vauxhall Luton Plant Brands Vauxhall To support the Production Control - Engineering Change team in the coordination of engineering changes and new variants, MGO information must be synchronized and adapted for use in GEPICS_OHS Bill of Material (BOM) and is essential for broadcasting of vehicle build information to internal and external customers. The role requires interpretation and manipulation of engineering release information held in these systems and associated databases. The successful applicant will gain a clear understanding of the process of coordinating engineering changes in order to provide authoritative information and may be required to provide practical line-side assistance during the change. At all times, actions will be taken in compliance with GMGMS (General Motors Global Manufacturing System) principles and meeting Business Plan Deployment (BPD) targets. Day-to-day management of GEPICS _OHS /JIT data. Running and writing reports in the GEPICS_MIS (Management Information System) Close liaison with the GEPICS_BCS operator to maintain and create data for broadcasts to line-side, external and third-parties to ensure quality through the correct fitment of parts Interpretation and selection of MGO data to be used in GEPICS to be applied to vehicle orders through the redecoding process, to ensure optimal run-out of parts Assist colleagues with the preparation of engineering change work sheets and attend, or chair, the weekly engineering change meeting. Investigating misuse of material & log releasing errors from the Millbrook Engineering Centre (MEC) Providing physical assistance at the line-side during the introduction of engineering changes and liaising with MEC, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, S.C. Ops. And 3 rd party suppliers Assisting in plant GM-GMS and ISO compliance - observing health and safety requirements at all times Participation in plant suggestions scheme, continuous improvement projects /studies, BPD targets and maintenance of functional standard task sheets (STS) task instruction sheets (TIS) Required Skills: Excellent computer literacy and confidence to work with a logical language (e.g. Boolean algebra) Excellent communication and organisational skills together with the ability to quickly develop working relationships with others: the individual should be comfortable with both team and individual tasks. Good time management, prioritisation of workload and close attention to detail are essential. A flexible attitude to working hours and willingness to receive training and experience in related vehicle scheduling activities, when required, is highly desirable. Preferred Area of Study:

It is responsible for the coordination of engineering changes, obsolete material, planning and movement of incoming and outgoing material and materials presentation within the plant.
