12 Feed demand in 2050 Scenario: Norway is still in a leading position in salmon production (approximately 5 million tons) The corresponding feed demand is approximately 6 million tons (extra 4,8 million tons) Million metric tons If new marine feed sources are not available the global production of organisms that not feed (mollusks and seaweed) will increase

19 Highly productive seas and oceans The term highly productive waters is understood to refer to waters in which biological production by means of natural processes or a variety of human interventions can be managed to result in high harvestable yields of commercially attractive plant and animal species. 50 % of the harvestable marine production is to be found in upwelling areas.

A level seawater area, is the largest company of bottom-cultured precious seafood in China, with its businesses covering hatching, farming, processing, and trading. The company got listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange and Zhangzidao was certified as the first China for years. Certified as Nation-class Enterprise Technology Centre, the company has set up many high-standard biological laboratories with world-class sophisticated testing equipments and excellent capacity that can meet the FDA and EU test requirements.
