2 The SMART family of programmers are a feature packed range, offering flexibility and reliability for use in any domestic heating and hot water installations. The blue back light on the programmer can be switched permanently on or off, depending on the user s preference. When the back light is off, it can be lit at the push of a button and will then turn off again. The programmer can be configured for 24 hour, 5/2 day or 7 day operation, and has the flexibility of up to three on/off timings per day. SM Channel Multi Purpose Programmer The SM1247 is a single channel multi purpose programmer, designed primarily for timed control of your heating and hot water. Ideal for use with a combination boiler or a single heating zone. It can also be used in conjunction with an existing programmer to control additional heating zones or for when additional hot water cylinder control is required. The heating and hot water programmes are independent of each other, giving you the opportunity to operate the system in the most energy efficient and cost effective manner. Ideal for control of two individual heating zones and separate hot water control giving you the opportunity to operate the system in the most energy efficient and cost effective manner. 4 The SMRTP is a 5/2 or 7 day programmable room thermostat designed to provide automatic time and temperature control of all domestic central heating applications. SMRTP Programmable Room Thermostat The SMRTP programmable room thermostat has a large, easy-to-read LCD display, includes many features, making it ideal for situations where a higher flexibility of control is required. This programmable room thermostat provides true 7 day (or 5/2 day) programming options, with up to six time and temperature events being available each day. The SMRTP comes pre-programmed for ease of use, but the user can create their own individual programme or modify the existing option. With built in summer/winter changeover, this product eliminates the need for time-setting and BST/GMT time changes. Time and date are factory-set, making time setting or adjustment unnecessary. The temperature control accuracy of +/- 0.6ºC will reduce the temperature swing that normally occurs with older style thermostats. SMRTED Electronic Room Thermostat, with LCD Display The SMRTED room thermostat is economical and simple to use. Simply turn the control dial to the desired temperature to control the room temperature. The SMRTED includes a battery powered LCD display which displays the current room temperature. When the temperature is adjusted, the LCD display will briefly display the revised temperature before returning to the current room temperature. SMRTE2 Electronic Room Thermostat The SMRTE2 Electronic Room Thermostat is an economical and simple to use room thermostat. Simply turn the control dial to the desired temperature to control the room temperature. This unit also includes a neon indicator that lights up when the system is calling for heat, so you know when the system is being turned ON or OFF. 8 SMRTM Mechanical Room Thermostat SMCTS Clamp-on Cylinder Thermostat System The SMRTM mechanical room thermostat is an economical and simple to use room thermostat. Simply turn the mechanical control dial to your desired temperature to control your room temperature. This unit also produces an audible click when you turn the dial past the current temperature so you know when the system is being turned ON or OFF. The mechanical two wire thermostat is very easy to install and, by having volt free contacts, is suitable for systems with either a combination or normal boiler. If you have a three wire installation, simply cut back and make safe the neutral, and this two wire thermostat will give you years of faithful service. System The SMCTS Cylinder Thermostat is configured specifically for the control of domestic hot water cylinders to suit householder lifestyles and can provide energy savings when set between the recommended 60 C - 65 C. Supplied complete with a mounting strap for the cylinder and a spring for the heating pipes, this unit is very easy to fit around either the cylinder or pipe. The bimetallic sensor ensures accurate hot water temperature control, while the large clear adjustable dial is easy to read and adjustable between 0 C and 80 C. The Cylinder Thermostat can be used to switch directly a wet central heating circulating pump or boiler, or to operate zone valves. 9 System SMTRV Thermostatic Radiator Valve The SMTRV is a stylish and easy to use Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV) that has been designed to provide years of trouble free service. The liquid filled head is easy to fit and has the option to manually set and lock a maximum temperature, to provide even more heating control. System SMABV22 Auto Bypass Valve The SMABV22 is designed to maintain the water flow in central heating systems fitted with TRVs. They do this by maintaining the desired minimum flow rate through the boiler and limit circulation pressure when water paths may be closed. The SMABV22 reduces system noise that may be caused from TRVs or zone valves closing, eliminates pump impeller wear that can result from high flow resistance, enhances the life of the boiler heat exchanger by ensuring minimum flow rate at all times, and saves energy by only allowing flow through the bypass when needed. The use of an ABV is recommended by the UK Government as Best Practice in the CHeSS guide to central heating systems. Building Regulation advice states that if a bypass is installed, an ABV must be fitted. 10 System SMAVB Automatic Air Vent, 3/8" and 1/2" The SMAVB Automatic Air Vent is designed for heating systems and other closed circuit hot water systems which require the efficient, automatic removal of air when a system is filling with water. The SMAVB allows quick and easy removal of trapped air from sealed heating systems without draining down the system and reduces, and often eliminates, the need for bleeding. The SMAVB features a vacuum break on the base of the valve to prevent an air lock forming and to encourage air to be released from water. The SMAVB can be fitted anywhere in the positive pressure side of the system where air is likely to be trapped, although it should be installed in an accessible and visible area to ensure it can be serviced easily.
