1 The new ESL Business Online Banking provides many new and improved features and benefits. The end result is an easier, more streamlined but also more powerful online banking experience for you. This has been created to help you begin using the new ESL Business Online Banking. We ve outlined some of the new features and benefits as well as letting you know what stays the same. From there, we ve included instructions for your initial login and tips for getting around the new platform. If you have additional questions or need additional assistance, please contact us right away. Inside the new ESL Business Online Banking New look and feel simplifies how you bank online. Two-part login makes online banking easier right from the start. Secure Access Code security method adds login security and gets rid of Challenge Questions. New interface is simple, easy to read and clearly displays the information you need. Home page puts account information front and center. Intuitive navigation makes completing your tasks easier. Just a few clicks to access a wide variety of online banking functions. Responsive design adjusts for optimum experience on your desktop, laptop, and with Business Mobile Banking, on your smartphone and tablet. What stays the same: Nicknames you have established for your accounts will carry over. Any users you may have set up will convert as will their entitlements. Bill Pay has received a few cosmetic changes, but all payees and recurring payments will remain the same. More features: Business Mobile Banking (and Mobile Deposit) add the ultimate in convenience. Enhanced loan payment capabilities makes paying down your overdraft and line-of-credit accounts easier. Online Activity Quick Link on Home Page provides details for recent online transactions. Use the Message Center to securely send and receive messages about your accounts and activity. Help Section provides more assistance for using ESL Business Online Banking. 1

2 Let s Begin - First Time Login Instructions ESL Business Online Banking Begin by clicking on the Business tab on the login box in the upper left hand on our home page at esl.org. When logging in, just use your current USER ID and password. Next, you will be asked to select a delivery method to receive a Secure Access Code. Based on what contact information is currently on file for you within online banking, it can be sent to you via , voice call or text. Enter this code when prompted. Please note your Secure Access Code will only be valid for a few minutes. If you receive a message that states your code has become invalid, use the back key and re-request a code be sent to you (via , voice call or text.) Next, you will be asked if you would like to register your computer/device. Only register a device when you are the only user for that device. Do NOT register a device that has multiple users or is a public use device. Registering your device allows you to bypass entering a Secure Access Code at future logins. You will be asked to create and confirm your password. o You can use the same password you have been using as long it adheres to the following criteria: Password must be at least 6 characters long. Password can be no more than 50 characters long. Password must contain a minimum of 1 numbers. Password must contain a minimum of 1 lower case characters. Password must contain a minimum of 1 upper case characters. You will see a Profile Page that includes information about you and your company. Take a moment and verify that the information on this page is accurate and up to date. Please note that viewing this profile page will not be a part of future logins. If you would like to update information on your profile page, please call us. Finally, you will be prompted to review and accept our Business Online Banking Agreement. 2

3 Welcome the new ESL Business Online Banking Home Page Once your login is complete, the first page you ll see is the home page. On the Left - Access a variety of online banking functions in just a few clicks by using the options on the left side navigation. Click on menu options to expand (or collapse) additional selections: Messages Send and receive secure messages to ESL about your accounts Transactions Functions like Funds Transfer, Loan Payment, Online Activity (for online transaction detail), Stop Payment and Online Statements are found here. You ll also find Credit Card information located here. Bill Pay - Minor cosmetic changes keep Bill Pay features/functionality familiar. Cash Management For customers using Cash Management services, this section provides access to ACH and Wire activity as well as Remote Deposit Capture and Positive Pay. Reports Also available for Cash Management services customers, this feature provides reporting tools for customers with complex reporting needs. Administration Add, edit and manage users and their roles. You can also update Security Preferences here, including editing your Secure Access Code Delivery options and changing your password. Settings Manage Account Preferences, Alerts, Text Enrollment, and Mobile Authorizations here. In the Center - View a list of your ESL accounts with their available balances. Click on an account to see account activity history and details. The Account Summary at the bottom of the page provides a graphic representation of your deposit account balances and loan account balances. Click on the front and next links or on the corresponding slice of the circle to move from one account to another. Available and current balances display for deposit accounts. On the Right - Here you ll find Quick Actions, two or three functions that businesses like yours use frequently. Click Transfer Money Now to transfer funds from one ESL account to another. Click Online Activity to view details for online transaction activity for your accounts. Click Online Statements to view your account statements. 3

4 Account Details Click on an account listed on the home page screen to go to the Account Detail screen. Here you ll find additional activity information about each of your accounts. For example: Current and Available Balances are both displayed. Dividend/Interest Rate display for deposit and loan accounts respectively. Next Due Date is displayed for loan accounts Account Activity all specific transactions are displayed. Click on the check image to view a copy of the front and back of the cleared check. Show Filters Clicking on this link opens displays prompts to filter what account activity is displayed. For example, select Pending from the TYPE menu to view pending transactions from this account. Export Export account information to a spreadsheet, Microsoft OFX, Quicken or QuickBooks. Print Capabilities - Print out a hard copy of your account detail. 4

5 Getting to Know ESL Business Online Banking Better: Administration Use the options within this section to add users and manage their entitlements. It s important to note that all of your existing users and their roles will convert automatically as part of the transition so you will not need to set them up in the new Business Online Banking. User Management Use this feature to add new users. Edit or deactivate existing users by clicking the pencil and updating their information. Role Maintenance Use this section to assign or edit roles to your users. Roles define what features and transaction limits users have access to within Business Online Banking. Company Policies View your company limits for transactions types like Internal Transfer, Check Reorder, Stop Payment, ACH and Wires (if you have those services.) Security Preferences Within this section you can change your password as well as manage the delivery of your Secure Access Code. Remember, when logging into Business Online Banking from an unregistered device, you will be prompted to enter a Secure Access Code. o In this section, you can manage how you can receive this code by adding or editing information for your , phone number or phone number to receive text messages. Please note that editing your information here does NOT change it within our system. Settings: Options within this section give you the flexibility to set preferences for a variety of settings. Account Preferences In the new Business Online Banking, each user can assign accounts their own nickname to distinguish them more easily. You can also designate the order each account will appear on your home page by clicking the edit button. Alerts You can set and receive alerts for Dates, Account balances or activity, History, and Transactions based on criteria you select. Only Transaction alerts will be real time. Account, History and Date alerts will be sent once a day. 5

6 Bill Pay Find easy to access to online Bill Pay services right on the left hand navigation. If you are currently not enrolled in Bill Pay, you may begin the process by clicking on that link and follow the prompts for registering online. Looks the same except for some minor cosmetic changes Opens in a new window Payees and payments have converted and will appear. Scheduled payments will be converted Business Mobile Banking With the upgrade to the new Business Online Banking, we re delighted to be able to introduce ESL Business for Mobile, too. Use your mobile phone or tablet and bank when and where it s convenient for you: Includes everything you see and use in the desktop version of Business Online Banking Check balances and transaction history Transfer funds Pay bills Business Mobile Deposit lets you deposit checks by taking a picture ESL Business Mobile apps are available to download: o App Store SM for your ipad or iphone o Google Play Store for Android TM smartphone or tablet 6

7 Business Text Banking: Don t use a smartphone? Text banking is also available. With easy to use commands, you can check balances, transfer funds, and effortlessly manage your accounts directly from your mobile phone. To register, login to Business Online Banking and select the Text Enrollment Option under Settings. Use the following codes to transact on your account: BAL Current and available balance of the primary account BAL<Account nickname> Current balance for specified account HIST<account nickname> Provides the history for specified account XFER (from account nickname 1> to <account nickname 2> <amount> Amount entered is transferred from accounts 1 and 2 LIST- Provides a list of all commands HELP Provides contact information for help resources at ESL. STOP Stop all text messages to the mobile device 7
