The Village, Townsville the per dwelling diversified demand is 1.9kW per dwelling 45% below the 3.5KW modelled peak demand for a typical new development.

23 Ergon - initial results from Smart Climate System test huts Two near identical huts in Oonoonba one hut with BioPCM in walls and ceiling and one without Hut with BioPCM maintains its cool temperature during peak with A/C power turned down BioPCM pre-cooled in the afternoon Walls with BioPCM report less extreme temperatures Hut with BioPCM uses 10% more energy during the day but this can be easily offset using solar PV
