1 ACCADEMIA DI BELLE ARTI DI CARRA FINE ARTS ACADEMY OF CARRARA (ITALY) INFORMATION FOR INCOMING STUDENTS ACADEMIC CALENDAR Start of lessons: Presentation of the programmes and courses: second week of October First Semester: from the middle of. October to the middle of February. Examinations: from the middle of February to the end of February Christmas Holidays: from 20 th of December to 10 th of January Easter Holidays: one week closure Second Semester: from the second week of March to the third week of June Examinations: from the last ten days of June to the half of July and From the last ten days of September to the half of October Bank Holidays: 8th December, 25th April, 1st May, 2nd June Summer Holidays: August INFORMATION ABOUT COURSES Courses are during only one semester of each academic year. For more detailed information about schedules, ask the Erasmus- office. The most suitable period of time for the student exchange to comemay be the second semester. Between September and October there are the exams (fall term examinations/admission tests). In the second half of February the lessons stop for one up to two weeks due to the winter term examinations, while the second semester starts in March. In the second week of October the teachers present their programmes and courses. Since the academic reform the educational structure of the Academy of Fine Arts of Bolo has been split into undergraduate (Triennio) and postgraduate studies (Biennio specialistico). The undergraduatediplomas cover a wide range of modules, the students foundation studies, including Diploma in : - SCULPTURE - PAINTING - SET DESIGN FOR STAGE DRAMA AND OPERA - RESTORATION (OF STONE AND MARBLE SCULPTURE) - GRAPHIC - MULTIMEDIAL ART - APPLIED ARTS - COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION OF THE ARTS (COBASLID) Every study module field has specific courses in relation to the main course of which some are in Common:
