PQI iconnect is equipped with an Apple certified Lightning interface that can be plugged into an iphone, ipad or ipod directly. With the dedicated ios app PQI iconnect, you can easily back up all your iphone/ipad photos and videos, store your precious memories, and make space for your iphone, ipad & ipod to capture exciting moments at all time! Besides backing up photos, you can also store your favorite movies, music, and files in PQI iconnect USB drive, and play them directly on an iphone, ipad & ipod by simply plugging in iconnect. Media and files saved on iconnect won t occupy any of your iphone, ipad & ipod s storage. PQI iconnect is also equipped with a USB 3.0 interface for fast data transfer. Whether transferring data from your computer to your iphone, ipad & ipod, or backing up iphone, ipad & ipod data onto your computer, you can now effortlessly piece together every moment of your life with PQI iconnect! 2. Main Features Backup Photos/Videos With just one click, you can easily back up all your photos and videos from your Photo library to iconnect USB Drive. Built-in Camera The built-in camera function let you take photos, and save them directly on iconnect USB Drive. File Management Access all your files in from your iconnect USB Drive. Media Browsing and Playback For your convenience, you may categorize all your media files, and browse them with friendly User Interfaces designed for each type of media (Photo/Video/Music). Touch ID Lock/Unlock File Use Touch ID authentication, you may lock/unlock a file to keep it secured from viewing/opening by other users. Dec 2015 V1.0 3

5 3. Getting Started If you have not download and install the app, once you connect the iconnect USB drive to your iphone or ipad, you will be prompted to install the PQI iconnect app from App Store. Dec 2015 V1.0 4

6 If you already installed the PQI iconnect app, you will be prompted to allow communications to your PQI iconnect drive once you connected the iconnect USB drive to your iphone or ipad. Dec 2015 V1.0 5

7 4. Applications 4.1. Main Page All functions starts from here Backup all your photos into iconnect device. Settings Backup all your videos into iconnect device. Browse all contents saved in your iconnect device. Built-in Camera to take photos, and save photos directly in your iconnect device. Browse all contents saved in this App storage. If not connected with USB Drive, only App Content function will be available. All other functions will be greyed out and disabled. Disabled when iconnect device is not connected Dec 2015 V1.0 6

Settings Overview: Configurations and Information Setup the folder for photo & video backup Default settings are: /photo/backup for photo backup /video/backup for video backup To view the Storage usage, and App version. To setup the default password for lock/unlock file using Touch ID Backup Folders: Setup the folders for photo & video backup Default settings are: /photo/backup for photo backup /video/backup for video backup Input folder name to change the backup location. 13 Default Folders PQI iconnect App will create 3 default folders automatically when you plug in your iconnect device on the iphone/ipad. The 3 default folders will be created under the root directory of the iconnect device. The 3 default folders will be used by each view to display the corresponding contents. Photo browsing view display all the supported image files under the photo folder. Video browsing view display all the supported video files under the video folder. Music browsing view display all the supported audio files under the music folder. Dec 2015 V1.0 12

15 File Management Operations Enable the file selection mode Select all / Deselect all To disable the file selection mode Check box to select single file When no files are selected, all the functions will be disabled. Dec 2015 V1.0 14

16 Select one file to enable the file operation functions. One file is selected File operation functions (Move/Copy/Rename/Delete) are enabled. Dec 2015 V1.0 15

17 Select multiple files to enable the file operation functions. Multiple files are selected When multiple files are selected, Rename function will be disabled. Dec 2015 V1.0 16

18 Move/Copy files. Select files to copy/move Click Move or Copy to move or copy files. Dec 2015 V1.0 17

19 Select destination storage to copy/move the files to. Copy/Move files to iconnect Storage Copy/Move to App Storage. Files saved in App Storage can be viewed without plugging in the iconnect device. Dec 2015 V1.0 18

20 Select destination location/folder to copy/move the files to. Create a new folder in the destination location. Click OK to confirm the destination location. Files will start to copy/move to the selected location. Click Cancel to re-select the destination storage. Dec 2015 V1.0 19

21 Delete multiple files. Select files to delete. Click Delete to delete selected files. Dec 2015 V1.0 20

22 Delete single file. Slide right to see the single file functions, and select Delete icon to delete the file. Dec 2015 V1.0 21

25 Share single file with other apps. (Open-in function) ** Please note: for better performance, file with size over 100MB are prohibited from this share/open-in function. A warning message will be display if trying to share/open-in the over-sized file. 26 The ios Sharing menu will be displayed, and you may select any apps or operations to share the file to. Please note: ios will determine what apps/operations to display in this screen based on the type of the file you choose to share. Dec 2015 V1.0 25

27 Lock/Unlock a file Lock a file with Touch ID (Only available on iphone/ipad models with Touch ID) Note: Before locking/unlocking a file with Touch ID, please setup the default password under Settings page. Click on Lock icon Then, put your authentication finger on the Home button to lock the file. Dec 2015 V1.0 26

28 Unlock a locked file with Touch ID (Only available on iphone/ipad models with Touch ID) Unlock function will only be available on a locked file. (With a Lock icon as file type) Click on Unlock icon Then, put your authentication finger on the Home button to unlock the file. Dec 2015 V1.0 27
