Every lesson is supported with data-rich benchmark and continuous progress monitoring assessments. Depending on the grade level, the English reading curriculum includes education in critical reading domains, including: phonemic awareness, alphabetical knowledge, vocabulary, comprehension and fluency. Teachers have access to detailed reports of student progress, and Istation includes a library of over 1,900 scripted lessons and more than 150 books teachers can utilize to target skill development during small group instruction. G E T S T A R T E D Imports Student and teacher data is imported at the beginning of the year by the district. Once the initial import is completed, new students may be added by ing Glenn.English@tylerisd.org or turning in a HelpDesk request (Section 14.19). Include the following information: Student Name, Student ID#, name of Istation class the student is to be enrolled in (Not TEAMS schedule class name). Teacher Login Access the portal at Username Windows login Password Self selected If you have not logged in before or forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password link and follow the directions to reset your password. Student login from the website only gives access to the assessment. To access curriculum that is automatically assigned to students after the assessment is completed, login must be done from the desktop icon for The Imagination Station. Student Login It is very important that the students login to VDI computers using their individual login - and choose the correct school in Istation the first time they login. (For summer school, select the campus where the course is being taught; this may not be their home campus.) Username Student ID number Password 6 digit birthday (mmddyy)

2 i Stati on Pa ge 2 T E A C H E R V I E W O F T H E S T U D E N T P R O G R A M All Istation teacher and manager accounts are set up to allow the teacher or manager to login to the Istation student application, just as a student would, in order to view the assessments and instruction for themselves. Your account may already be set as the same grade as your students, but if you would like to check or change the grade associated with your account (which will affect the level of assessment and instruction), login to the Istation web site and click on your name in the upper right hand corner. Check the current grade level in the About section. To change the grade level, click on the Edit icon ( ). To view the student program, you must login from the Istation link on a VDI desktop. R E P O R T S Istation facilitates data informed decision making through reports that provide immediate access to student results. For assistance with reports, click click or go to the Training Center tab. The most important reports for teachers are located at the bottom of a class page or student information page.

Printing login cards and changes to On Demand Assessments can be made here, as well as enabling Parent Portal, managing subscriptions and viewing classroom history. Include the following information: Student Name Student ID # Name of Istation Class student is to be enrolled in (Not TEAMS schedule class name) DO NOT deactivate and recreate students if you are transferring them from one campus to another. Every page on the web site has a clickable icon in the top right side to go for more information from the Interactive User's Guide. FAQs are answered here. T E A C H E R R E S O U R C E S Teacher Resources are accessed from the Home tab by clicking on Go to Teacher Resources>> in the Teacher Resources box. Teacher Resources may also be accessed from the Interactive User's Guide>Teacher References and Training > Teacher Resources, and are accessible from the clickable icon ( ) on the top right of each page on the web site. Resources include ideas for small groups, teacher led scripted lessons, books, passages, games, parent letters and more.

5 i Stati on Pa ge 5 T R O U B L E S H O O T I N G S T U D E N T L O G I N S If students do not login to their campus initially, the following will assist you in changing their campus. On the student computer: At the Istation login screen, type in CONFIG for the username and CONFIG for the password. Then select the appropriate campus by entering the student s campus name to the Domain (be sure to select the campus within Tyler ISD). The Peer Group is left blank.
