2 Who we are Anno 1919 Kathrein, founded in 1919 in Rosenheim, Germany, is an international enterprise, active in antenna and communications technology. Globally active, over 60% of the Group s turnover is achieved outside Germany.

3 Research and Development In the various development laboratories within the Kathrein Group over 300 engineers and technicians are active in research and design work. A budget equal to about 10% of DAB MPEG-2 DVB DECT GSM PCN CATV HFC the annual turnover is invested in Research and Development. Much of the Group s success is due to the emphasis placed on quality and innovation. 50% of the annual turnover is achieved with products that did not exist two years ago. On a scientific level, Kathrein cooperates with a number of Technical Universities and Colleges of Applied Science. Working together on research and development projects has proved highly effective, both for Kathrein and these academic institutions.
