5 FIT FOR A PRINCESS Complete with a balcony, turrets and an authentic medieval facade, Aldourie Castle is the perfect venue set amongst enchanting woodland and beautiful gardens within its 500 acres of grounds. Rich in splendour, this magnificent property is hired out for private bookings only so you and your wedding guests can enjoy exclusive use of the Castle for up to a week-long stay. 6 AN ENCHANTING SETTING From the moment you enter the Aldourie Estate it will relax and captivate you and your guests. The Castle has an unrivalled warm and welcoming ambience, ideal for any celebration, large or small. Invite your nearest and dearest to enjoy an intimate wedding ceremony and reception or celebrate in style in a marquee overlooking the Loch with all your family and friends. Your wedding party can then take sole use of Aldourie, which you are encouraged to relax in as if it was your own home. Photograph opportunities are limitless at Aldourie; from balcony kisses set against the vast Highland backdrops to trailing dresses down spiral staircases to romantic walks in the formal gardens, grounds and woodland. 5

9 CIVIL CEREMONIES All the rooms Aldourie Castle are licensed for civil ceremonies; choose from the Main Hall, Drawing Room, Library or a Marquee. The Castle itself can accommodate up to 50 guests for the wedding service. Usually the wedding ceremony would be carried out by the local registrar but Religious and Humanist Ceremonies may also take place. 10 YOUR RECEPTION For smaller parties the castle can cater for up to 50 guests for your meal and reception and the dining room can accommodate a more intimate party. For larger numbers we advise a marquee on the lawn next to the Castle or further down the parkland near the idyllic shores of Loch Ness and unmatchable views across to the Highlands. Marquees can cater for up to 180 guests for your service, wedding breakfast and reception. 9

18 FOOD & DRINK Catering at Aldourie Castle is second to none. Our in house chef can work with you to design a bespoke wedding breakfast menu using the best local Scottish produce complemented by fine wines. The following morning you and your guests can enjoy a traditional Scottish breakfast either on the terrace in summer or in the snug Laird s Room with its cosy fire. 19 THE CASTLE AT NIGHT The splendour of Aldourie Castle comes into its own once the sun goes down, its rich colours adorning the halls and rooms creating the perfect backdrop for romantic candlelight. Your fairytale wedding can go on into the night and beyond at Aldourie. Make use of the Drawing Room and Library for a night cap or a final glass of wine and reflect on your special day sat around roaring fireplaces. 22 LUXURY GUEST ACCOMMODATION The guests who are lucky enough to be staying at the Castle with the wedding party can check in from your time of choice on your special day, giving access to the beautiful and individual bedrooms for as long as possible. Each of the 13 bedrooms has been fondly re-designed to emulate their original look and feel to help create a welcoming atmosphere and memories to treasure. allowing you to carefully select them to suit your guests. For larger parties additional accommodation is available in the four traditional cottages on the estate (for 21 people). In total the Estate can accommodate 50 guests.
