3 Design language The idea behind the design CityCharm design is based on the iconic archetypes of Cone and classical/modern hat of the CitySpirit range. The smooth curves and high finishing have resulted in a range that is more calm, elegant and timeless, making it easy to fit in many different locations in cities, residential areas and parks. Using high quality materials and high transparent bowls ensure a future proof product, not only in terms of design but also in its performance.

Diffusing elements are available to enhance the lighting comfort, enabling you to choose for high efficiency or increased comfort. For its day time appearance different innerparts can be chosen to give a personal signature to the streetscape or link to a specific color

22 CityCharm connected system CItyCharm is an intelligent luminaire that can be seamlessly connected with CityTouch connect app (remote lighting management) via integration of all the intelligence into the luminaire without any additional hardware needed. CityTouch Ready luminaires are plug-and-play as they are already commissioned. They automatically connect via the public mobile network to the CityTouch software platform when installed. CityTouch connect application (remote management) Control of each individual light point You get the flexibility to adapt every single luminaire to changing situations or demands of the city at any time. To adjust calendars to the individual needs you are free to change the switching points of every dimming profile simply via drag and drop. Fault detection & notification A quicker and better knowledge of the current status of the lighting infrastructure enables you to manage faster maintenance and improve the maintenance service level. Accurate energy metering With accurate energy metering down to the level of each single luminaire it is possible to verify your energy bills and identify new potential savings. 23 CityCharm stand-alone control Philips offers a complete range of stand-alone lighting controls to maximize your energy consumption by dimming and reduced light nuisance. LumiStep Integrated stand-alone control system for dimming over a period of 6 or 8 hours (3 pre-programmed versions). The potential energy savings (on power system) is up to 25 %. DynaDimmer An integrated stand alone control system for dimming. It can apply 5 power levels. For example, an average energy saving of approximately 50 % per year can be realized.
