2 The school Our best asset: our teaching staff, coordinators and employees. The friendliness and efficiency of our staff is unquestionably what gives us an edge over our competitors. Being located in the neighborhood of Palermo - Buenos Aires, away from the noise and the crowd always associated with a big city, will allow you to study Spanish in a quiet and relaxed environment. At the same time, the city's centre is only 12 minutes away by underground. The School building is modern and all our classrooms are equipped with the most advanced resources to support teaching activities (DVD, PCs, Audio equipment). Being a massive Spanish School is really not our target. Our courses have no more than 6 students each to ensure quick learning and active participation from all students. 3 What are the training programs like? DWS Spanish as a Foreign Language Training Program is divided into six levels, following the European Framework of Languages. The number of contact hours for each level is the following: Basic I: 60 hours Basic II: 40 hours Intermediate I: 60 hours Intermediate II: 40 hours Advanced I: 60 hours Advanced II: 40 hours Once a level is completed, students must pass a final examination that will allow them to attend the next course level. The maximum number of students per course is of 6.

4 Most popular courses Intensive Course group classes, 20 contact hours a week (four hours per day). Classes are organized in two modules of two hours each with a half an hour break. Super Intensive Course group classes, 30 contact hours a week, (six hours per day). Classes are organized in three modules of two hours each. Individual Courses Tailor-made designed with the student to meet his goals according to the student s time availability. Group+You; 20 group classes + 10 individual classes, bearing the same structure as the super intensive course.

5 Preparation course for international exams DELE / CELU: The Fundación Ortega y Gasset (representing the Cervantes Institute in Buenos Aires) is internationally accredited in what respects to the acquisition of Spanish as a foreign language. Many students need to pass this exam for work or university reasons. The course consists of 20 contact hours especially dealing with difficult areas and intensive practice of every one of the levels to be passed. (Group course) Spanish course for Brazilian people Bearing the same number of contact hours as the intensive course - 20 hours per week - the course is tailored for native speakers of Portuguese. Teachers know of the strengths and difficulties of these students and plan classes consequently.

6 What pedagogical material does DWS use? DWS Training Program for the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language counts with material specially designed for such purpose, which includes pedagogical innovations. The method adopted to do so is the task-based approach and the communicative one. Every level has a book where the planning of the contents and the recreational activities - which could help motivate and foster the immersion process the students are going through - are taken into account. Does DWS organize any other activities? The school offers two other activities a week taking into account the cultural, sports and entertainment events the city of Buenos Aires has to offer. This is so, for the school becomes a social and cultural place for the students who attend it.

7 What kind of accommodation can I get? All the different kinds of accommodation provided by DWS are specially selected to certify the quality and service offered. Lodgings are situated near the school o provide easy access for the students. Family Stay: one of the types of accommodation students choose the most. A host family which will put one or two students up at their home so that the students will share the experience of living with them. Fully-equipped apartments: this is chosen by those students who are more of the independent kind, and wish to stay longer in the city, be it for work or study reasons. Bed & Breakfast design: an option for those who are attracted by design and sophistication. A new possibility offered by Buenos Aires city in its most modern neighborhoods: such as Palermo SOHO, facing the school.
