Till such time, screening/selectin cmmittees will assess and verify the categrizatin and scres f publicatins.. 11 Explanatry nte fr Tables II (a) and II (b) 1. The university administratin & clleges will set up verifiable systems fr the API related infrmatin required in these tables. They will have t be dcumented and cllated annually by the Internal Quality Assessment cells (IQACs) f the university / clleges fr fllw up by the university / cllege authrities. In rder t facilitate this prcess, all teachers shall submit the duly filled-in Perfrmance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) pr-frma t the IQAC annually.. Hwever, in rder t remedy the difficulties f cllecting retrspective infrmatin and t facilitate the implementatin f these regulatins frm in the CAS Prmtin, the API based PBAS will be prgressively and prspectively rlled ut. 3. Accrdingly, the PBAS based n the API scres f categries I and II as mentined in these tables is t be implemented fr ne year, initially based n the existing systems in university / clleges fr ne year nly with the minimum average scres as depicted in Table II (a) and II (b) in rws I t III. This annualized API scres can then be cmpunded prgressively as and when the teacher becmes eligible fr CAS prmtin t the next cadre. Thus, if a teacher is cnsidered fr CAS prmtin in 011, ne year API scres fr alne will be required fr assessment. In case f a teacher being cnsidered fr CAS prmtin in 01, tw years average f API scres fr these categries will be required fr assessment and s n leading prgressively fr the cmplete assessment perid. 4. As shwn in Table II, the aggregate minimum API scre required (given in rw III) can be earned frm any f the tw brad categries, subject t the minimum prescribed in each categry. This will prvide fr due weightage t teachers wh cntribute additinally thrugh any f the cmpnents given in Categries I and II als fr the differing nature f cntributins pssible in different institutinal settings. Fr Categry III (research and academic cntributins), maintenance f past recrd is dne n a nrmal basis by teachers and hence n difficulty is envisaged in applying the API scres fr this categry fr the entire assessment perid. In this categry, an aggregate minimum scre is required fr prmtin ver each stage. Alternatively, a teacher shuld acquire the required minimum aggregate scre ver tw previus stages, taken tgether. In the case f prmtin t Prfessr, the publicatin requirement shall be met ver the tw previus stages. 6. Candidates shuld ffer themselves fr assessment fr prmtin, if they fulfill the minimum API scres indicated in Tables I and II, by submitting an applicatin and the required pr-frma. They can d s three mnths befre the due date if they cnsider themselves eligible. Candidates, wh d nt cnsider themselves eligible, can als apply at a later date. 7. If hwever, n final assessment, candidates d nt either fulfill the minimum criteria under Rws III and IV f Tables II(A) and II (B) r btain less than 0% in the expert assessment, they will be reassessed nly after a minimum perid f ne year. 8. (a) If a candidate applies fr prmtin n cmpletin f the minimum eligibility perid and is successful, the date f prmtin will be deemed t be the minimum perid f eligibility. (b) If hwever, the candidate finds that she / he fulfills the eligibility cnditins at a late date and applies n that date and is successful, her / his prmtin will be deemed t be frm that date f applicatin (c) If the candidate des nt succeed in the first assessment, but succeeds in an eventual assessment, her / his prmtin will be deemed t be frm the later date. 11
