Uji Coba Pembelajaran Berpikir Kreatif Mata Pelajaran IPS Sebagai Media Implementasi Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi di Sekolah Dasar Asmadi Alsa Universitas Gadjah Mada The current study explore whether or not a creative learning model can serve as the media for implementing a competency-based curriculum. More specifically, this study test the model as it is implemented in elementary school social studies class. Competency based curriculum is designed to enhance a more exciting learning experience, to develop creative thinking and to provide necessary life skills for students. This way, students are expected to gain core competence as a result of their learning (i.e. social studies in this research). This study used an action research design. In this design, teachers were trained to apply creative learning model every once a week for a consecutive 8 weeks. After the learning model implementation, data were gathered by using interview, observation and documentation. Results of the study show that 1). The Model is feasible to be applied as the media for competency based curriculum 2). More fun and exciting experience shows up in the learning process 3). Students were actively involved in the class 4). Students creativity was facilitated in their learning 4). Life skills were facilitated and appeared in the learning process. The indicators of each finding are discussed in more details in this study report. Keywords: Competency Based Curriculum, Learning Model, Creative Thinking

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini di Indonesia: Permasalahan Kurikulum Taman Kanak Kanak Yulianti Dwi Astuti The early childhood years are important because in this period all developmental aspects (physical, emotional, and intellectual) grow at their fullest pace. Unfortunately, parents, society and government (through their school system) in Indonesia show a lack of awareness on the importance of giving early stimulation (formal and also non formal) to children at this age. As a result, treatment to children, in their learning and growing process, tend to be developmentally inappropriate. The current paper tries to examine the problem of giving developmentally appropriate learning environment in kindergarten. The length of the school is only one dimension of the kindergarten experience. Other important issues include the nature of the kindergarten curriculum and the quality of teaching. Changing the length of the hours spent in kindergarten is not as important as making sure that all kindergarteners are provided with developmentally and individually appropriate learning environment. Developmentally appropriate kindergarten classroom must have one thing in common: the focus will be on the development of the child as a whole. Keywords: early childhood, kindergarten curriculum

Pengaruh Pelatihan Kecerdasan Emosi terhadap Penurunan Agresivitas Anak di Sekolah Herlina Sari Irwan Nuryana Kurniawan The purpose of this research is to examine empirically whether emotional intelligence training was effective in reducing children aggression at school. This research used experimental method with treatments by subject design, which involved 50 elementary school pupils in Yogyakarta as study participants. This research used children aggression scale to reveal the degree of children aggression at school. The result of this research suggests that emotional intelligence significantly was effective in reducing children aggression at school. Practical and research future implication are discussed. Key Words : Emotional Intelligence Training, Children Aggression at School

Senam Ritmik Untuk Meningkatkan Konsentrasi Belajar Pada Anak Dian Sari Utami Aisiyah Erlin Kartika Aprillia Damayanti Sigit Nugroho Universitas Gadjah Mada This study examined difference in learning concentration between two groups: group with rhythm dance and group without rhythm dance. Subjects of this study were 24 second graders in Jogjakarta. The students were coming from two public schools, and they were divided into two groups; 12 students as an experimental group and 12 students as a control group. The rhythm dance in this study were based on Kobayashi method that has been done at his elementary school in Japan in the second war. Data were collected through parallel pre-test and post-test and they were analyzed with Mixed Anova with One Between Subject One Within Subject design. The result shows that there is significant difference on learning concentration between experimental group and control group (F=3,218; p>0,10). Learning concentration was increased in the group which has been given the rhythm dance. Keywords: Senam Ritmik, Konsentrasi Belajar

Peningkatan Kesiapan Kerja Melalui Pelatihan Efikasi Diri Dalam Bidang Pekerjaan Pada Calon Tenaga Kerja Tekad Wahyono Universitas Wangsa Manggala The aim of this research is to examine the effectiveness of occupational self-efficacy training in improving work readiness among work applicants. A group given occupational self-efficacy training shows higher work readiness. Subjects were 42 people and were divided into two groups (experimental group and control group) at random. The research applies the pretest posttest control group design. Data were collected from work readiness scale and analyzed by one way anova. The result of the analysis indicates that F (between groups) = , p = (p<0.010). This means that there is a significant work readiness difference between the experimental group with occupational self-efficacy training and control group without occupational self-efficacy training. The mean of work readiness in the experimental group is significantly higher than the mean in the control group. Key words: occupational self-efficacy training, work readiness

Kontribusi Minat Baca dan Bimbingan Belajar Orangtua terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Sekolah Dasar Mulyati Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret This research is intended to determine whether or not there is a correlation between reading interest and parents guidance in learning and the students learning achievement, either separately or simultaneously. The sample was 30 students taken using stratified random sampling technique. A questionaire is used to measure reading interest and parents guidance in learning. The data of the students achievements were collected by using documentation. Data were anaysed using correlation and regression. The result shows that: (1) there is a positive correlation between reading interest and students achievement (r =.93) and a liner regression equation of Y = X1; (2) there is a positive correlation between parents guidance and students achievement (r =.94) and a linear regression of Y = X2,; (3) there is a simultaneous correlation between reading interest, parents guidance in learning and the students achievement (R =.92) and a linear regression of Y = X X2.
