1 Creating and Transferring Images Before you start, make sure you ve installed the following software: 1. A disc image creation software like Nero, etc. 1. Generate a Video Image file (ISO file) for your Master Video Disc (ex. DVD). The procedure varies depending on the software you are using. To compile a DVD-Video in Nero, proceed as follows: In the Nero Express start screen, click the menu icon Videos/Pictures. The CD, Super CD and DVD Video Files screen will appear. To compile a DVD-Burning proceed as follows: 1. Click DVD-Video. o The DVD-Video files compilation screen opens. 2. Click the Add button. o The Add files and folders window opens. 3. Select the DVD-Video files that you would like to add to the compilation and click the Add button. 4. Repeat the two previous steps for all DVD-Video files that you want to add to the compilation. 5. Click the Close button. o The DVD-Video files are added to the compilation and are displayed in the compilation screen. If the DVD-Video files selected are larger than 4483 MB and if a DVD recorder which can burn with 2 layers (DVD DL) is installed, you can select the DVD9 (8152MB) option in the drop-down DVDs menu. 6. Click the Next button. You have successfully compiled a DVD-Video and can now burn this compilation. Nero Image Recorder Creating an image file Page 1 of 6

2 To set the burn settings according to your requirements and to save your project as an image file to the hard drive using Nero Image Recorder, proceed as follows: Nero Image Recorder must be activated before it appears in the drop-down menu. Compile a project of your choice. o The Final Settings screen opens. Select the Image Recorder option from the Current Recorder drop-down menu. Add to the required values in the input fields. Add to the required settings in the extended area as necessary. Click the Burn button. o The Burning Process screen appears and the Save Image File dialog box opens. o Enter a name for your image file in the File Name input field and set Save as Type to ISO IMAGE FILE. Select the desired storage location in the navigation tree and click the Save button. o The burn or save process starts. You can follow the process status in the status bar. As soon as the burn or save process is finished, the Nero Express dialog box opens and displays a message about the result of the burn process. Click the OK button. Page 2 of 6

3 If you would like to print or save a log of the burn process, click either the Print or Save button. Click the Next button. 2. Transfer the Video Image file (VCP file) or ISO image to the Reflex unit. a. Confirm the USB Cable is connected between your PC & the Duplicator; or the Network cable (optional) is connected between the Duplicator & your network switch. b. Turn On the External Connection setting on the duplicator. i. Turn on the Duplicator. You will see 1. Copy upon boot up. 1.Copy ii. Press the down arrow button to the 5. Setup menu opyion, then press the ENT button. Note: On systems with Lightscribe drives the menu option is 6. Utilities. iii. Press the Down button to the 10. External Connection sub menu, then press the ENT button to get in. iv. Press the Down button to change the setting to On, then press the ENT button to submit the change. c. 4 d. Transfer the Disc Image file just created into the Dup folder of the Duplicator s Internal Hard Drive. 3. Duplicating transferred image. a. Turn Off the External Connection setting on the duplicator. i. Press the Down button to the 5. Setup menu, then press the ENT button to get in. 5.Setup ii. Press the Down button to the 10. External Connection sub menu, then press the ENT button to get in. iii. Press the Down button to change the setting to Off, then press the ENT button to submit the change and press the ENT button again to continue. iv. Press the ESC button back to the 5. Setup menu. b. Set the source as the Hard Drive i. Press the Up button to the 7. Select Source sub menu, then press the ENT button to get in. ii. 5 c. To make copies Disc Image file you just transferred. i. Press the Up button to 1. Copy, then press the ENT button to get in. ii. Press the Down button to choose the transferred Disc Image file, and then press the ENT button to submit your selection. iii. Press the ENT button again to submit No Counter on the Counter selection screen. Choose Partition [DVD.ISO] Counter: No Counter iv. Place the recordable DVD media into the system. v. The duplication progress shall start once all discs are detected. vi. Once the duplication process is completed, all the copies will be ejected. Copying... Insert the Disc Makers Reflex Vault and Network Install disc in the CD/DVD drive of the computer you intend to use with the Reflex unit. 2. Open My Computer and right click on the CD/DVD drive of your system. (Usually this is drive D: but systems may vary) 3. Double Right click on the Disc_Makers_CopyLock_Setup icon and follow the on screen instructions. Page 5 of 6

6 License Upgrade Installation if purchased Thank you for purchasing CopyLock License Dongle. Please follow instructions below to use it: 1. Execute the CopyLock Copy Protection software. You shall see following screen: Above example indicates it has a total of five trail licenses left. 2. Please insert your CopyLock License Refill Dongle into the PC s available USB port. You PC shall recognize the USB Device as below: 3. Now the CopyLock Copy Protection software shall recognize the total amount of licenses that this dongle has. Please note that the licenses come and goes with the Dongle. Therefore, please store the dongle in a safe place as it was required in order for the software to apply the copy protection. Page 6 of 6
