2 Flu cases going down, Norovirus cases going up Flu is primarily a respiratory illness Norovirus is a gastrointestinal illness: pain, nausea, diarrhea and vomiting New strain of Norovirus this year originated in Australia Some call it a superbug because it seems to be causing more severe illness than other norovirus strains Virus is found in vomit and stool of infected people often spreads in food or drinks when someone with the virus on their hands touches food or drink Remember: Antibiotics don t work on the flu or norovirus which are VIRAL infections!
