2 Why exhibit at the RHS Flower Show Cardiff? Every April, the gorgeous Bute Park within the grounds of Cardiff castle is transformed into a spring festival of gardening. As the first outdoor event in the RHS shows calendar, RHS Flower Show Cardiff regularly attracts a keen gardening audience of 22,000, with attendance increasing year on year. Show Gardens remain a highlight of the event showcasing the best in Welsh design talent and overflowing with inspiring ideas for visitors to take home. 4 Designer case studies Victoria Wade of Victoria Wade Landscapes Fresh from Sheffield University s Landscape Architecture MA and having just set up her own business, Victoria s first Show Garden Upcycle made a statement at the 2013 Cardiff Show achieving a Gold medal. Gaynor Witchard of Gaynor Witchard Garden Design Following a change of career, Gaynor first exhibited at Cardiff in She went on to launch her own business and built a further three gardens, two of which have been awarded the Best Show Garden award. The garden we built in 2012, called 'Off the Shelf', has been requested four times so far since the show - two have been built, one is currently under construction and another is on our waiting list. It's not only the 2012 show garden which has drawn attention though - I am still getting requests for gardens I exhibited two years ago! People keep the leaflets and booklets and, when the time is right, they contact me for a design. The show was the best start for my business I could have ever hoped for. Our garden generated a lot of interest from both the visitors and in the media including being invited to chat about my garden on the BBC Radio Wales breakfast show. In the weeks that followed the show we had so many enquiries which lead to a jam packed year full of work, designing and building gardens in and around Cardiff. I have had so much fun exhibiting at the show over the past two years and have made some great friends, from fellow designers and exhibitors, to contractors, site staff and the RHS team. My business would definitely not be where it is today without the RHS Flower Show Cardiff and I could not be more grateful for the support and encouragement the RHS have given me over the past 2 years.

6 Engage Our visitor profile RHS Flower Show Cardiff April 2014 The RHS Flower Show Cardiff attracts an average of 22,000 visitors who attend the show over the three days. As well as having a core regional audience from Wales we also welcome visitors travelling from Bath, Bristol and the South West. Socio-economic Profile ABC1 83% Other 17% Gender ratio Female 70% Male 30% A core salaried audience aged between 35 and 65 with high spending power with up to 82% who buy or order at the show. 7 Promote The circulation of media coverage at the RHS Flower Show Cardiff 2014 reached 28 million people. Show Gardens offer sponsors both PR and media opportunities in addition to ensuring strong visibility at the Show. Broadcast media The show enjoys live reports from ITV Daybreak, BBC News Online, BBC Radio Wales, BBC One Show, ITV Wales and S4C, a Welsh speaking TV channel broadcast two programmes reaching 57,000 people.
