Trusted Site Configuration and Pop-Up Blocker White-Listing Procedures IMPORTANT! THIS IS REQUIRED SETUP FOR ALL USERS ON THIS WEBSITE EVEN IF TRUSTED SITE WAS SET UP ON THE PREVIOUS SITE This document is a re-production of a web-page that appears when clicking the button from either the Print Labels form or the My Account form on a Vision web site and is displayed for users that have Internet Explorer Installed in Version 7.0 or higher. The following message comes up before these full instructions are displayed (Starting pg 2. here). NOTE: If the website is already configured as Trusted then you can skip this step and click Continue on the Trusted Sites Configuration Page after this alert box (Figure 1): (Figure 1) For best results, print out this document, and read carefully. It is made up of many screen shots to aid you in what normally takes less than a minute to complete. These detailed instructions describe a relatively simple process to configure Vision for use. If you struggle to complete this setup, call Reliance Technical Support at the contact information indicated on the Help page of the Vision website you are trying to use. Trusted Site and Pop-Up Blocker White-Listing Instructions Page 1 of 6 Last Revised 9/12/2011
Internet Explorer Must Be Used Trusted Site Setup Required For Printing Website Must be White Listed with Pop-Up Blockers Programs This page and subsequent related pages are normally one-time only unless your PC or printer list changes in some way that affects changes in your Internet Explorer or other settings. Once the necessary setup is completed, you should no longer reach these pages. Please print out this page and read instructions carefully. You have reached this page because of one of the following scenarios: 1. New Operating System - Your computer was recently "rebuilt" with a fresh or new Windows operating system or your PC was recently replaced with a new PC. 2. New User To This Vision Web Site - You are attempting to "Refresh" your printer list from Vision, because you have never used this Vision website and have never built this list before. 3. Internet Explorer Recently Upgraded up to or is a Version higher than Version 6 - When you upgrade Internet Explorer or if you have a version on your computer which is version 7 or higher, there is a requirement that all ActiveX technology can only run on a website if the user declares the website "Trusted" by using "Tools" - "Internet Options" and the "Security" tab to set this website as at "Trusted Site". Initial Instructions: If you KNOW you have made this website a "Trusted Site", then you can click "Continue" where you can have an opportunity to install the Active X Control. If you KNOW you have installed the ActiveX control used by this website, then you can click Continue on the Next Screen as well, however, it is highly likely that if you have properly set this site as "Trusted" using the instructions below, that you will still need the Active X Control installed (assuming) you keep coming back to this page when you click "Continue" on the next page. It is important that both Trusted Site Setup and the Active X control are setup correctly. Please contact Reliance Technical Support if you cannot resolve this problem on your own. Technical Support Contact Information can be found after Signing into the Website that sent you to this page and clicking "Help". NOTE: Pop-Up Blocker Warning: If you use Google or Yahoo or Internet Explorer's Pop-Up blockers or any other popup blocking software such as Nortons, McAfee, Kaspersky, Viper or other anti-virus software, you must "White-List" this website for each program to insure printing works correctly. Please refer to your software manuals for each product if you are unsure of how to do this. INSTRUCTIONS for white-listing websites for the Internet Explorer Pop-Up Blocker are included with this web-page if you print it out. (<== Click Continue or follow instructions above) Trusted Site and Pop-Up Blocker White-Listing Instructions Page 2 of 6 Last Revised 9/12/2011
Internet Explorer Trusted Site Setup Instructions: In order to setup this website as a "Trusted Site" in Internet Explorer, click the "Tools" icon on the top right side or click the "Tools" pull-down menu at the top of Internet Explorer's browser window. NOTE the following pictures for reference (Figures 2 and 3): (Figure 2) (Figure 3) Once Internet Options is opened, click the "Security" Tab, the "Trusted Sites" Icon and the "Sites" button as shown in figures 4 and 5: (Figure 4) (Figure 5) The following Dialog Displays and you should click to UN-CHECK the check box at the bottom marked, "Require server verification ( for all sites in this zone" as shown: Trusted Site and Pop-Up Blocker White-Listing Instructions Page 3 of 6 Last Revised 9/12/2011
The Following are Windows displayed. NOTE: Sometimes the domain does not show (first example Figure 6) and sometimes it does show (as in second example Figure 7): or (Figure 6) (Figure 7) If no domain is listed next to add, then type in the domain. The following are domains for ConocoPhillips Marketers that should be added to the Trusted Sites list: NOTE: As you type, Internet explorer suggests recently used web pages that match your typing. You can select any of the web pages that are displayed which match the current web page link and it will display in the box next to the "Add" button. Click the "Add" button and, as in this example (Fig. 8), the following screen shows the domain in the lower box: (Figure 8) Click the "Close" button. If you wish to ONLY perform "Trusted Site" setup, then you can click the "OK" button and stop here and then click the "Continue" button on this web page. Otherwise, DO NOT click the "OK" button and follow the instructions below to "White List" this website for Pop-Up blocking: Trusted Site and Pop-Up Blocker White-Listing Instructions Page 4 of 6 Last Revised 9/12/2011
Instructions To "White-List" Website From Pop-Up Blocking (Required for Printing and Highly Recommended For all users) Assuming you followed the directions above, you should already be in Internet Options and see the following dialog box. If you already clicked OK on the previous steps or are starting with instructions here, then refer back to the steps above to open the Internet Options dialog box as shown and then click the "Privacy" tab (Figure 10): (Figure 9) (Figure 10) If your Privacy tab shows the "Pop-up Blocker" turned off (unchecked) where it says "Turn on Pop-up Blocker", then you can stop here by clicking "OK", assuming you intend to keep the pop-up blocker off. However, if you wish to have the Pop-up Blocker turned on or if it is already on, then proceed by making sure it is checked as shown above and then clicking the "Settings" button to the right of the check box (Figure 10) to show the following dialog similar to the Trusted Sites dialog box (Figure 11): (Figure 11) In order to "White-List" the website to prevent pop-up blocking, you must start to type the domain (for example, " and as soon as you see an option come up for the domain web pages already accessed, you can either select one of the appropriate pages and click the "Add" button or else just continue to type out the whole domain if you prefer, but click the "Add" button when competed and the domain appears in the lower box with other Trusted Site and Pop-Up Blocker White-Listing Instructions Page 5 of 6 Last Revised 9/12/2011
white-listed domains as shown (Figure 12): (Figure 12) NOTE: ConocoPhillips Marketers should white list this web domain: Click the "Close" button to close the "Pop-up Blocker Settings" dialog, followed by the "Ok" button to close the Internet Options dialog. Pop-up Blocker white-listing is completed for this website. Repeat this process for any other Vision websites you may use. Click the "Continue" button below to select a default printer, build your printer list in Vision and then you will then need to Sign in Otherwise, If you still encounter difficulties, then contact: Reliance Label Solutions, Inc. Technical Support For specific contact information, click on the Vision Help page at the top of the main website that sent you to this document.
