Click Lg In The Hme Page* Yu will see Yur Active Classes. This is yur hme page. The screen sht n the right is what yu will see when yu lg in. a. Number f students b. # f students failing c. Can edit class settings *T return t The Hme Page (Yur Active Classes) at any time, click n BCPS One* in the upper left crner (STAT*, in the training mde). Viewing Classes 1. T view a class, click n ne f the classes. Yu will see a screen like the ne t the right. Yu can see all f the students that are in that class Yu can see each f the students grades Nte the varius clrs. 0-59: red; 60-79: yellw; : green; nn-numeric: black Yu can see all f the assignments and the grade the student received fr each assignment

2 2 Printing Reprts Print the grade bk, by student names, r by student ID number if yu wanted t pst the grades in the rm. Print Student Reprts. Print Missing Reprts. Print a blank grid with nly the student names. Grading Settings There are 3 ways t adjust yur settings. Tw are n the hme page. (See p. 1) 1. Select the gear next t the class whse settings yu wish t adjust. Yu will nw have access t Basic Settings, which allws yu t srt students, adjust name rder, and select desired student permissins fr that class. Yu als have access t Grade Settings, such as the grading scale, assignment categries and weighting, assignment srting, runding preferences, and ther ptins. 2. Als frm the hme page, yu can select settings frm the left banner. 3. A third way is n the page that lists the students fr a class, as the picture n the right shws. T access ONLY grade settings nly fr yur class, there is actually a furth way. 1. Click n Optins Click n the 3 rd ptin dwn, Grade Settings Grade Scale 2. Click n dwn arrw next t Select yur grade scale. TEACHERS MUST SELECT BCPS Scrll Dwn t assignment categries as shwn n the fllwing page. 3. Click Yes, fr Weight Assignment Categries. 4. Then enter in yur categries.

3 3 5. Then put in the weighted percentage. 6. It is OPTIONAL if yu want t drp the lwest scre in each categry fr the students Scrll Dwn t Optins Teachers have the ability t custmize their grade bk t fit their needs. Teachers can set the fllwing ptins. 7. Srt Students - Hw d yu want t srt students in grade bk (last name, first name )? 8. Srt Assignments D yu want t srt the assignments in the grade bk? (Date cllected r entered; newest first, last) 9. Runding Hw d yu want the grades runded? 10. Shw percentages D yu want t shw a student s percentage (r just the letter grade) in the grade bk? 11. Click save setting when finished. Adding Assignments T add assignments t the grade bk Select a class Click n New Assignment. Yu can click n either ne that is n the screen. It will take yu t a new screen, like the picture n yur right. 1. Enter the Assignment Name 2. Enter the number f pints the assignment is wrth. If it is extra credit, put EC.

4 3. List the due date. 4. Put the wrk in a categry e.g., Written classwrk, participatin, hmewrk. 5. If yu wuld like t hide the assignment frm view, select Mre ptins under the Categry drp dwn bx, and de-select the bx that says Allw students t see this assignment. 6. Be sure t click the Save Assignment radi buttn. 4 Entering Grades Optin 1 After yu have added the assignment yu can simply scrll dwn and begin entering the students grades. NOTE: Grade bk will nly recgnize and calculate numbers, E and M E=Excused frm assignment, will nt detract frm students grade M=Missing, will calculate as a zer in the students grade. This will allw it t shw up n a missing assignments reprt and indicate t the students what the grade will be if they d nt cmplete the assignment. Once finished, click n save assignment, it will take yu back t the grade bk fr the class. Optin 2: Frm the grade bk screen fr the class, find the assignment and begin entering the students grades. Once yu click ut f the bx, it will autmatically recalculate the student s grade.

5 5 Assigning wrk t a grup r individual students 1. Fllw the directins fr Adding an Assignment. 2. Befre yu save the assignment, click n Mre ptins t assign a task t individual students r grups. 3. Click n Chse Students. 4. A Pp up bx will appear, like the ne at the right (Student Grup - If yu have set student grups, yu can select a grup f students t whm yu are assigning the wrk.) 5. Click n the dwn arrw next t students. A list f all the students will appear. Place a check next t the student r students t whm yu are assigning this wrk. OPTION: If yu are ging t use these grups f students again, yu can save the grup and give it a name. Click n chse students when yu are dne. This will take yu back t the main grade bk screen fr the class. Nw this assignment will nly be fr thse students. It will shw as N/A in the grade bk fr the students wh are nt assigned this wrk.
