Low hazard for usual industrial or commercial handling by trained personnel. Potential Health Effects: EYE CONTACT: No hazard known by contact with the eyes. SKIN CONTACT: No hazard known by contact with the skin. INGESTION: No hazard known by ingestion. Single oral doses of greater than 50 grams may have a laxative effect. 2 4. FIRST AID MEASURES: EYE: In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with cool water for at least 15 minutes. Do not let victim rub eyes. Obtain emergency medical information if pain, blinking, tears or redness persist. SKIN: Wash exposed area of skin with soap and water. If skin irritation or an allergic skin reaction develops, get medical attention. INGESTION: If conscious, give victim water. For overexposure, call a physician or poison control center promptly. INHALATION: Immediately remove victim to fresh air. If victim has stopped breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth. Get medical attention immediately. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES: FLASH POINT: Not available. METHOD USED: NA FLAMMABLE LIMITS: LEL (% vol. in air): Not established. UEL (% vol. in air): Not established. AUTOIGNITION TEMPERATURE: Not available. FLAMMABILITY CLASSIFICATION: Slight hazard. Material must be preheated before ignition will occur (OSHA Class IIIB). EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Agents approved for Class B hazards (e.g., dry chemical, carbon dioxide, foam, steam) or water fog. UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Water or foam may cause frothing when applied to flammable liquids having flash points above 212 F (100 C). This remark is included only as a precaution and does not mean that water or foam should not be used in fighting fires in such liquids. The frothing may be quite violent and could endanger the life of the firefighter particularly when solid steams are directed into the hot burning liquid. On the other hand, water spray carefully applied has frequently been used with success in extinguishing such fires by causing the frothing to occur only on the surface and this frothing action blankets and extinguishes the fire. 3 FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus in the positive-pressure mode with a full headpiece when there is a possibility of exposure to smoke, fumes, or hazardous combustion products. HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Incomplete burning can produce carbon monoxide and/or carbon dioxide and other toxic gases. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES: Absorb spill with inert solids such as sand or soil; sweep up and dispose of in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. For large spills, dike around spill and pump into suitable containers. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE: HANDLING: Keep containers closed until ready for use. STORAGE: Where dusty and/or misty conditions exist, an explosive atmosphere could develop. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Isolate from acid storage and from areas using acid. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION: EYE: Chemical splash goggles and/or face shield must be worn when possibility exists for eye contact. SKIN: Wear gloves and protective clothing which are impervious to the product for the duration of anticipated exposure if there is potential for prolonged repeated skin contact. INHALATION: Avoid breathing mist. If ventilation is inadequate, use NIOSH/MSHA certified respirator that will protect against dust/mist. Our hazard evaluation is based on information from similar products, the ingredients, technical literature, and/or professional experience. No component of this product present at levels greater than 0.1% is identified as a carcinogen by the U.S. National Toxicology Program, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Act, or the International Agency on Research on Cancer (IARC). 12.
