Biomass Systems are wood fuelled heating systems which burn wood pellets, chips or logs to provide warmth in a property or to power central heating and hot water boilers. With wood fuel being significantly cheaper than electricity, oil, LPG and coal, and competitive with gas, biomass systems offer significant savings to consumers. As a carbon neutral heating system they also offer carbon dioxide savings, helping to reduce carbon footprint. A government backed Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a payment issued to both commercial and domestic customers to promote the use of renewable heat. This payment is paid quarterly over a 20 year period for commercial customers and 7 years for domestic customers. Biofuels is really an umbrella term and essentially means anything that has been recently living being used as a fuel source. This can mean almost anything, from food and farm waste being treated to make biogas, to waste products from industry being used to power boilers for energy, or responsibly managed local forestry which can provide logs for fuel and more homes for wildlife. Additionally, prior to finalising material specifications, we seek to ensure that recyclable alternatives are considered and proposed. At our office, our Store Person ensures that no reusable or recyclable material has been placed in the landfill container.

RENEWABLE ENERGY SHOWROOM Our new purpose built Renewable Energy Showroom is a unique environment where visitors can see our working renewable heating & power systems in action, as well as learn about renewable technologies in a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. AC Gold s Renewable Energy Centre, the first of its kind in Central Scotland, has been extensively marketed and as such now enjoys considerable footfall. Acting as a showroom it displays many of the products offered by AC Gold Energy and benefits from the fact that some of our products are working models which provide heat or electricity to our own Offices. Naturally, having products displayed in our showroom gives manufacturers a significant advantage with regards to achieving sales as potential customers are introduced to the products and their benefits at the time of first contact.
