COMMENDATIONS PRESENTED TO: JEAN MORRISON MONTGOMERY COUNTY DETECTIVE: In recognition of his outstanding work in the investigation and assistance in the analysis, organization, and presentation of crucial cell site data used to convict Chante Days of three burglaries.
2 WENDY FUENTES TRIALS DIVISION ASSISTANT: In recognition of her dedicated service, compassion to victims of crime, and exceptional work ethic as an Assistant to the Sex Crimes Unit. MATTHEW QUIGG ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY: In recognition of his outstanding prosecution and conviction of Tyuan Simon for his involvement in the hired murder of Tyree Whiting. After presenting the difficult case to the jury, ADA Quigg obtained a guilty verdict of First Degree Murder and related offenses. JEREMY ABIDIWAN-LUPO ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY: In recognition of his outstanding prosecution and conviction of Tyuan Simon for his involvement in the hired murder of Tyree Whiting. Simon was charged with First Degree Murder and related offenses: CHRISTOPHER KUKLENTZ MONTGOMERY COUNTY DETECTIVE: In recognition of his outstanding work as the lead investigator in the prosecution and conviction of Tyuan Simon for his involvement in the murder for hire of Tyree Whiting. Through his work Detective Kuklentz determined Simon s role in the murder and the crucial evidences needed to arrest him. Simon was charged with First Degree Murder and related offenses.
3 MICHAEL FEDAK MONTGOMERY COUNTY DETECTIVE: In recognition of his outstanding work in the investigation, prosecution, and conviction of Tyuan Simon for his involvement in the murder for hire of Tyree Whiting. Simon was charged with First Degree Murder and related offenses. KIERSTEN MCDONALD INVESTIGATOR: In recognition of her dedicated service as an investigator for the Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes Units. KAREN ROEDER INVESTIGATOR: In recognition of her dedicated service as an investigator for the Montgomery County Detective Bureau and for her role in reducing the investigative and paperwork backlog then-existing in the Bad Check Program. Since taking over the Check Program in 2012 she has recovered over $52, for victims of this financial crime.
4 SAMANTHA CAUFFMAN DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY: In recognition of her outstanding prosecution and conviction of Luckenson Desrivieres for his role in a double homicide. After being found guilty of First Degree and Third Degree Murder for the homicide deaths of the victims, Desrivieres was sentenced to Life plus years imprisonment. PAUL BRADBURY MONTGOMERY COUNTY DETECTIVE: In recognition of his outstanding work in the investigation and conviction of Luckenson Desrivieres for his role in a double homicide. Following his arrest, Detective Bradbury interviewed Desrivieres in the first videotaped confession under the District Attorney s pilot taping program. This recorded confession was critical in refuting the defendant s false claims of self-defense in trial. EDWARD SCHIKEL MONTGOMERY COUNTY DETECTIVE: In recognition of his outstanding work in the investigation and conviction of Luckenson Desrivieres for his role in a double homicide. Detective Schikel s testimony, through which he provided a description of the crime scene and blood evidence, proved crucial in refuting the defendant s false claims of self-defense in trial. KAYLEEN LONGSTREET INVESTIGATOR: In recognition of her outstanding performance as an investigator for the Montgomery County Detective Bureau. In addition to her duties as the supervisor of the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI), Investigator Longstreet was given and completed the Pennsylvania State Police-mandated task of entering all Montgomery County Detective Bureau arrest data into the Uniformed Criminal Reporting (UCR) system. JASON WHALLEY ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY: In recognition of his outstanding prosecution and conviction of Michael Dennis and four other defendants involved in the Dennis Drug Trafficking Organization. ADA Whalley oversaw this lengthy and complex investigation, provided his expertise in the use of wiretap evidence, and successfully obtained convictions for five of the remaining twenty-seven defendants who did not plead guilty. Michael Dennis, the organization co-leader, was sentenced to 18 to 36 years. TONYA LUPINACCI SPECIAL ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY: In recognition of her outstanding prosecution and conviction of Michael Dennis and four other defendants involved in the Dennis Drug Trafficking Organization. SADA Lupinacci oversaw this lengthy and complex investigation, provided her expertise in the use of wiretap evidence, and successfully obtained convictions for five of the remaining twenty-seven defendants who did not plead guilty. Michael Dennis, the organization co-leader, was sentenced to 18 to 36 years.
5 UNIT COMMENDATION NARCOTICS ENFORCEMENT TEAM: In recognition of the exceptional investigation skills, perseverance, and collaborative approach to law enforcement used to take down the criminal enterprise known as the Dennis Drug Trafficking Organization. When the initial investigation on Montgomery Township resident Anthony Dennis stalled because of informant reluctance, The Montgomery County District Attorney s Office Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) took the lead role in the multi-county investigation and focused on building a wiretap case to dismantle the regional drug distribution network. After executing numerous sealed search warrants and simultaneous raids, twenty-two of the twenty-seven defendants pled guilty, and the remaining five, including organization co-leader Michael Dennis, were successfully convicted in court.
