Located near Ubirr, on Aboriginal land, the Lodge offers just twelve tented cabins with full ensuite facilities. Experiences include the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise, Guluyambi Wet Season Cultural Cruise, Magela Creek System and One-Day Arnhemlander Cultural & Heritage Tour. Aboriginal guides provide you with an insight into their culture, the river s abundant food chain, traditional uses for many plants and animals as well as bush survival skills. 2 GULUYAMBI CULTURAL CRUISE ON THE EAST ALLIGATOR RIVER K86 A unique boat tour on Kakadu s scenically spectacular East Alligator River. Take in the wonderful pristine wilderness as you leisurely cruise up stream. An Aboriginal guide provides an insight into their culture, the river s abundant food chain, traditional uses for many plants and animals as well as bush survival skills. Disembark on the Arnhem Land side of the river and be treated to a display of traditional hunting and gathering implements before heading back down stream. Limited to just 25 guests, the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise ensures an intimate and personalised cultural experience. 3 GULUYAMBI WET SEASON CULTURAL CRUISE, MAGELA CREEK SYSTEM K87 Kakadu is magnificent in the wet when the whole environment responds to the seasonal monsoon rains and explodes into life. At the height of the seasonal rainfall the Guluyambi Cruise operation, in co-operation with the Mirrar Clan, moves from its dry season home on the East Alligator River to the Magela Creek. The East Alligator becomes a raging torrent in the wet and is too dangerous to navigate. The Guluyambi Magela Creek wet season cruise uses expert Aboriginal guides and provides an insight into local Aboriginal mythology, the wetlands abundant food chain, traditional uses for many plants and animals as well as bush survival skills required for this wilderness environment. The cruise will manoeuvre you through vast, pristine paper bark forests, along channels with crystal clear vision into the shallow seasonal waters alive with activity. Glide past lily pads, tall wet season grasses and through pandanus and fresh water mangrove lined billabongs. Wildlife is abundant in this rich and otherwise restricted access environment. Hire a car or travel by coach to Kakadu from Darwin. Due to the extensive organisation involved with touring, cancellation fees are applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue. We strongly recommend customers take out travel insurance to cover against such charges. 100% cancellation fee applies if cancelled within 24 hours of departure or no show. 50% cancellation fee applies if cancelled within hours of departure.

5 UBIRR COMBO TOUR - Ubirr Tour & East Alligator River Guluyambi Cultural Cruise K87T Ubirr - East Alligator Combo. Same crew, different cruise. Same ground tour, different waterway. When Magela Creek level is too low for the Guluyambi boats but still too high for 2-wheel drives and hire cars to cross pre-venting most wet season visitors from accessing the Ubirr site and its famous views over the northern floodplains we have a combo tour perfect for them. Your clients now have the opportunity to tour the Ubirr site with professional guides and cruise the spectacular East Alligator River with Aboriginal guides. On this Combo you will experience sensational lush green wet-season views from the top of Ubirr, rock art sites and the spectacular towering escarpment valley of the pristine East Alligator River. Your clients will achieve a sense of real space without peak-season crowds. The Ubirr Combo Tours is limited to up to 20 guests, which ensures an intimate and personalised cultural experience. Please advise clients that for their comfort it is recommended to bring a water-proof bag for cameras, a hat, sun-screen, loose comfortable clothing and good walking shoes.
