The will limit the number of students in each class. Once a class has filled students will be placed on a waiting list.
2 HP Tennis HPISD Seay Tennis Center 2015 Winter/Spring Development Program Director of Tennis: Dan Holden Sign Up Procedure Registration form and tuition payment by cash or check payable to Seay Tennis Center should be submitted to the front desk during regular business hours. All classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. You may call to find out if there is space in your child s age and ability level. Signups are handled in person only. We cannot hold space in class until FULL PAYMENT is received or PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS have been made. If your child has special needs that we should be aware of, please visit with the class Director prior to registration. Required Non-Refundable Facility Fee HPISD Resident: $30.00 HPISD Non-Resident: $35.00 Student court privileges included at the Outdoor Center only. (ACE fee not applicable to facility fee) Seay Tennis Center Returned Check Fee: $25 Contact numbers: Seay Indoor Tennis Center Outdoor Tennis Center Classes begin January 12, 2015 Sign up begins December 1, 2014 REFUND POLICY PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Withdrawals more than 2 weeks before the first day of class will receive a tuition refund less a $35 processing fee. Withdrawals less than 2 weeks before the first day of class will be charged a $45 cancellation fee in addition to the $35 processing fee. Once classes have begun, there are no refunds given due to non-participation for any reason. No credits or refunds are issued for the nonrefundable Facility Fees. If due to a long term illness or injury a student cannot complete the full class series, a partial prorated credit can be applied to the cost of future participation. No refunds. Any credit issued due to injury or illness is valid for the concurrent semester only. If not used during the concurrent semester, credit becomes forfeit. Make-ups for individual absences are allowed on a space available basis during the current semester only. Please check with the appropriate Director for available dates. PEE WEE Ages 3&4 The goal of the program is to instill excitement and a desire to make tennis a lifetime activity. Hand eye and group participation skills are stressed along with basic introduction to the fundamental grips and swings. Activities conducted with mini-tennis nets on half a court or in racket ball courts. PRIMARY Ages 6 & U Emphasis is on hand eye coordination, movement, racquet control, along with basic technique of the ground stroke, volley, overhead, and serve. Introduction to basic singles and doubles play. Activities conducted with several teaching aids including tees, tennis mates, and the footwork court. ELEMENTARY Ages 8 & U Introduction and refinement of the basic fundamentals of movement, ground strokes, volley, overhead, approach shots, and serve. Introduction to basic singles and doubles point play. Activities conducted with several teaching aids including tees, tennis mates, and the footwork court. INTERMEDIATE Beginner & Intermediate Players continue work on the refinement of basic tennis skills. Drills are introduced to simulate match play situations along with strategic patterns of play. Activities conducted with several teaching aids including tees, tennis mates, and the footwork court. Mental toughness skills are introduced as they pertain to match play. TOURNAMENT AND ELITE TRAINING Intense programs for goal-oriented junior players. Refinement of movement, balance and shot production are incorporated in match play simulation drills to help the player construct points. Video analysis and mental toughness training continues as a means of helping the players learn how to correct flaws and win matches.
