8 Notes: Ink edges as you go! I like to place my pieces first, so I like to use baby powder to deactivate the adhesive on my chipboard and allow me to play with it a bit! The adhesive is pretty strong, but with a book like this that will be flipped through, it s a good idea to use a liquid adhesive throughout the book especially on the corrugate and textured papers! Also, if you are using a personal cutting machine for your template pieces, you may want to review the page images so that you can cut them all at the same time instead of page by page! {You may want to do this prep work even if you are hand cutting!} Cover/Page1: 1. Using your journaling cards, remove the vintage deposit slip card. 2. Next, using your Home For Christmas vintage stamp set, stamp the Merry Christmas title toward the top, just above the By dotted line. 3. From your tape stickers, remove a 4" piece of the red striped tape and place at the top of the card, about 1 8" from top. 4. Next, from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals, add the our memories diction at the right edge of the red striped tape. Then, label the year of your album using the mix of numeric stickers, to the right and just below your stamped title. 5. Next, using your heart template, cut out a big red glitter heart! 6. Now, place your white doily down on the card and your red heart on top and to the right of it. When you ve got them where you want them, adhere the heart to the doily-don t adhere to the cover just yet! 7. Now, stitch on 3 buttons, from your Home For Christmas button pack, in the lower left edge, between the heart and doily seam. Once you ve done the stitching, you can add them to the cover. (Just makes for an easier stitch through fewer layers.) 8. Last, Add the JOY chipboard piece from your Home For Christmas Chipboard Frames set! Page 2: 1. Using your template again, cut a tag from your Kraft corrugate paper sheet. 2. Next, from your tape stickers, measure two tape pieces to fit the width of your tag (just over 2 ½" ). We used the multi colored striped tape and the red/cream plaid! 3. From your Home For Christmas chipboard frames, add the traditions piece to the top and to the right side of the tag/tape strips. 4. Last, add a mini photo to the tag. There is room to add journaling to the tag, too! Page 3: 1. From your Home For Christmas Chipboard Frames, remove the red/cream-striped frame and adhere it to the top of a 4x6 photo. Page 4: 1. From your Christmas Stencils pack. Remove the Christmas Tree stencil. 2. Then, from your tape stickers. Trim the green/cream dotted tape to run across the top of the stencil-just above the word Christmas. (5" long) 3. Next, from your Mistletoe paper (green side). Cut out a small triangle about 2 ½" tall from the bottom of the tree to the point. 4. Then, using your brown tape sticker, add a 1" tree stump. This is where using some baby powder comes in handy so the tape sticker won t stick to other pages. If you don t have baby powder, you can just back it with a small paper scrap! 5. Now, to your tree, add 3 ornaments using your Home For Christmas buttons. 6. Last, also from your buttons, add the little star topper and adhere to the stencil in the lower left corner! Page 5: 1. Using your template again, and from your Seasons paper, trim a bracket page (cream side up). 2. Next, using a 4x6 photo, adhered it to the page, centered. Then, you will trim off the excess edges so that the photo becomes flush with the page shape! Fancy Pants Designs

9 3. Add three more buttons to the top left part of the photo. 4. At the bottom, trim a strip of green/cream dotted tape along the bottom. You will also trim the excess edge off to become flush with the page shape! 5. Last, from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals, remove two banner flags and the Christmas Eve (or other title you like) to the top of the tape sticker as seen in the photo! Page 6: 1. Using our tag template, we ll now cut another tag, this time from your Pine paper. 2. You will also cut a small strip the same width of the tag (just over 2 ½" ) and 1" tall. (Red dotted side up.) 3. On this red dot strip, add the diction sticker together to the flush left and toward the top. Then, stitch the cute heart button, found in your button pack, to the right edge of the sticker. Adhere the strip to the tag, about 1 ¼" from the top of the tag. 4. Using your Home For Christmas vintage stamp set and the back of your Seasons paper (cream), stamp the cute bracket frame and cut around the outline of the stamped image. 5. Next, add two buttons to the bottom left corner of the stamped frame and also add your text using the fun stickers from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals so many custom options with these letters! 6. Adhere this finished frame to the bottom of the tag area, about ¾" from the bottom edge! Page 7: 1. For this page, you will adhere the solid green chipboard frame to the top of another 4x6 photo. 2. To add a touch of detail to the framed photo, add a strip of multi colored striped tap across the frame, about ½" from the bottom. 3. Then, from your Mistletoe paper (green/cream damask) and from your Pine paper (red dotted), trim some mini strips that are about ½" wide and slightly differing lengths. You can also add little notches to the end for a banner look! 4. Place them on top of the tape strip and arrange to your liking before adhering. 5. After you ve adhered those pieces, from your Chipboard Frames pieces, add the larger Dec 25th circle to the right edge of your strips to finish it off! Page 8: 1. This is a fun journaling page. From your journaling cards, pull a journaling card out--whatever you like best will work great! 2. To the top of your card, about ¹ 8" down, add a strip of tape the multi colored stripe is what was used on our sample! 3. Add, from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals and little label text to the top, right edge of the card as seen in the image. 4. To create your accordion flower, trim two 1 ½" x 12" strips from your Wish List paper. {Follow the accordion flower tutorial directions, found at the end of these instructions, if you have not made these before!} 5. Add your finished flower to the lower right side, with about ½ hanging over the edge of your card. 6. Add a mini photo and/or journaling to the page! Page 9: 1. Using a wallet-sized photo, adhere the mini polka dot frame from your chipboard frames to the top. 2. Then, from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals, add titles and names as needed! Page 10: 1. Using your heart template again, cut out a large heart from the Kraft corrugate paper. 2. From your chipboard frames, use the larger banner shapes and place them in the center of the heart. (The heart hangs sideways in the book, but the banner runs through the center. 3. Add a button on each end of the banner and some fun diction words as well! Fancy Pants Designs 2012

10 Page 11: 1. Using your Mistletoe paper (green side up), but out a bracket shape from the template. 2. Next, add two wallet-sized photos to the page centered at top/bottom and side/side. 3. Add focus to your photos by using mini chipboard frames on top. 4. Then, using the chipboard pieces, buttons and stickers, add embellishing to the top of the photo frames. 5. Add diction to the left side of the top image, and a heart button to the right side of the top image/frame. 6. Add diction to the lower right side of the bottom image and the mini banners to the top left of that image. 7. Add the year, or other title, to the mini banners using letters/numbers from the 12x12 sticker fundamentals set! Add journaling if you wish! Page 12: 1. This page consists of two tags cut using the template. Cut a tag from your red dotted paper (Pine) and a tag from your newspaper print paper (Wish List). Layer the tags so they are the same width as your book (4" wide) they will overlap, with the red dot on the bottom. 2. Add a tab sticker to the outer edge of the red dotted tag and label using your letter stickers! 3. On the right tag, using a wallet-sized photo, place another chipboard frame on top and adhere! 4. Next, stitch two chipboard buttons to the photo...slightly on top of the frame. 5. Adhere the photo to the tag. Page 13: 1. Another simple and fun journaling page to record your memories. Using another journaling card, add the red/cream plaid tape to the top of the card, about ¼" from the top. 2. Using your 12x12 sticker fundamentals, use two banner flags and the Merry Christmas diction stickers. Place them atop the tape as seen in the image! 3. Last, add three fun buttons to the bottom left edge of the card. 4. The rest of the space can be used for journaling or other photos you choose! My album listed the favorite gifts on there, but there is room for much more! Page 14: 1. Another stencil page. This time we re using the family stencil. 2. Add a strip of the red/cream-striped tape (5" long) across the top of the word. 3. Next, add the cute little stocking from your chipboard frames set! 4. The, from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals, add the diction traditions, along with a mini button stitched to the left side of it! Page 15: 1. Using our bracket template, we ll cut a page from our Kraft Corrugate paper. 2. Add the light green/cream damask frame, from your chipboard frames, to the center of the page. 3. Next, add a wallet-sized photo to the center (left to right) and toward the bottom of the frame you will see the Kraft corrugate coming through the frame. 4. Add a chipboard button to the photo and tie string around the page and through the button. Glue the button to the photo to hold it down. 5. Add, from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals, the quote diction It s the most wonderful time of the year! with the quote cut in half to fit on the frame, layered on each other. 6. Last, trim 2 ¾" x 12" strips from your red dotted paper (or another paper if needed) and create another accordion flower for this page. 7. Add the accordion flower to the top left of the frame and adhere. Fancy Pants Designs

11 Page 16: 1. Using another chipboard frame (blue/green chevron) and 4x6 photo, adhere the frame on top of the photo. 2. Then, from your chipboard pieces/frames set, add the larger title of Merry Christmas to the bottom portion of the frame. Page 17: 1. Our next page is using a mini chipboard frame and another wallet-sized photo. Adhere the frame to the photo and this page is done add additional embellishing if you wish! Page 18: 1. Using another journaling card, add a wallet-sized photo to the bottom left corner of the page. It is slightly hanging over the edge to add dimension to the book! 2. Then, from your chipboard pieces/frames set, add the Christmas tree to the right corner, next to your photo. 3. At the top left side, add the 3 snowflakes chipboard piece and adhere. 4. To add some flair and focus to your photo, add two little strips of tape (green/cream dot & red/cream striped) to the photo, along with a stitched button. 5. Last, add a little doodling around the edge of the card using a brown journaling marker! Add journaling to the page as you go! Page 19: 1. This tag is cut from our Kraft Corrugate paper, using our tag template! 2. From your Wish List paper (green/blue chevron side up), cut a strip the width of the tag (just over 2 ½" x 1 ¼" tall and place about ½" from the bottom of the tag. 3. Once your tag is cut, add a wallet-sized photo to the center of the tag. 4. Embellish the photo by adding two layered chipboard buttons to the bottom right corner of the photo. 5. Once those are stitched (or adhered) on, add, from your chipboard pieces/frame set, the Happy Holidays title piece to the bottom, centered! Page 20: 1. For this page, I ve used mini photos, about 1 ½" x 2 ½". Place two on top and two on bottom. They can be at a slight angle to add some flair. 2. Add a tab to the top right side and a tab to the bottom left side (from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals). Add title/labels using the letter stickers! 3. Then, at the bottom, on the bottom right photo, add, from the chipboard pieces/frames set, the JOY gift box to the page. 4. Last, wrap some string around the page at the center and tie a bow for added dimension! Page 21: 1. For the last page of the book, select another journaling card. This will help keep the cover and back cover sturdy! 2. At the top left of the card, add a diction sticker, from your 12x12 sticker fundamentals sheet. I used our holidays. 3. At the bottom of the card, using your tape stickers, add three rows of tape, starting about ½" from the bottom. You can layer them, place them flush with each other whatever you think looks good! 4. Next, add a wallet-sized photo on top of the tape layers, in the lower right corner. 5. From your 12x12 sticker fundamentals, add a tab to the left, center of the photo. Then, stitch (or adhere if it s too thick to stitch), a button to the bottom of the tab sticker. 6. And, very last, punch your holes through each page and combine using string. Make your tie loose so the pages can be easily turned! 7. ALBUM COMPLETE! 21 PAGES OF THOUGHTS AND IMAGES FROM A MEMORABLE CHRISTMAS SEASON! Fancy Pants Designs 2012

13 Accordion Flower Tutorial I prefer using a hot glue gun for this project. It holds the paper together better and dries quickly. You can use strong scrapbook adhesives, but they will take longer to dry! Step 1: Cut two strips that are the same size and fold accordion style. Steps 2-4: Glue the two pieces together to create one long strip. Step 5: Glue the two ends together to create a circle. Step 6: Cut out a circle to be the base at the bottom of your flower. Step 7: Add glue to the circle base. Step 8: Press your accordion circle together to meet in the middle and adhere it to the circle base. This takes a bit of practice, so you might want to try it before adding your glue. Once you ve got it down, add the glue and place it quickly on the circle. Step 9: Add some more glue to the center of the flower for extra hold. Squish the center together to make it stick. Step 10: Add a topper of your choice to finish the flower off!
