Itegratig efficiet, state-of-theart switchmode rectifier techology with streamlied plat cotrol ad moitorig, the high-performace GALAXY Power System (GPS) 2424 is ideally suited for wireless applicatios. The GPS 2424 provides power ragig from 100 A 800 A i a half-height cabiet for moutig o top of VRLA batteries, up to 1200 A i a full-height sigle cabiet, or up to 2400 A i a dual cabiet arragemet. Either a GALAXY VECTOR cotroller or GALAXY MILLENNIUM cotroller, depedig upo system prefereces, ca be used to cotrol the GPS The 596B 100 A switchmode rectifier modules provide the power. The power is distributed via a variety of distributio optios; 48 V loads ca be supplied by 597A/B coverter carriers which simply plugs ito a rectifier slot. The system operates directly from commercial power i 208/220/240 Vac sigle-phase or three-phase at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz. 2 Simplified Egieerig, Istallatio, ad Maiteace The GPS 2424 is desiged for streamlied istallatio ad maiteace usig frot-access cabiets. For each rectifier, the ac iput is prewired at the top of the cabiet ad ca be termiated with a circuit breaker or termial block. The prewired ac saves istallatio expese, ad the circuit breaker optio elimiates the eed for costly secodary ac distributio paels outside the plat. A variety of modular dc distributio paels are available ragig from 1 A to 600 A i both circuit breaker paels ad fuse paels. tio ad setup process, ad elimiates the eed to use potetiometers to separately set the output voltage. Cotiuous Operatio The GPS 2424 is desiged for cotiuous operatio ad iservice upgrades, allowig system compoets, icludig rectifiers, distributio, ad itelliget cotroller optios to be added i the field without iterruptig service. The GPS 2424 is desiged for easy istallatio ad maiteace ad offers coveiet frot access to the system compoets. Cost-Effective Coversio Simplified Plat Maagemet The GPS 2424 provides a wide selectio of power rages up to 800 A, 1200 A, or 2400 A i half-height, full-height, or dual-cabiet cofiguratios, respectively. Show is a full-height 1200 A cabiet. The modular 48 V, 597A/B coverter is assembled i a separate carrier that simply plugs ito a rectifier slot, thereby avoidig the expese associated with separate shelvig or adapter plates. For 12 A of 48 V power, a maximum of four 3 A, high-efficiecy coverter cards ca be istalled i a carrier. I cases where additioal power is required, additioal 597A/B carriers ca be added. Each carrier is equipped with either six GMT fuse positios or four DIN circuit breakers. Automated System Setup For automated istallatio ad setup, the cotroller, rectifiers, ad coverters all commuicate via a digital iterface. A ewly added rectifier or coverter automatically idetifies itself to the cotroller by trasmittig its type ad serial umber, ad the cotroller the sets the output voltage to a preestablished value.
