8 Activity 8-1: Reviewing image map elements and attributes In this activity, you will write the necessary XHTML code required to create an image map. 1. Write the XHTML tag required to insert an image named gorilla.png into a Web page. Identify this image as the image that will be used for an image map named GorillaMap. The map will be located in the same XHTML file as the image. 2. Write the XHTML tag required to define the GorillaMap image map. 3. Write the XHTML tag that will define a rectangular hot spot with the coordinates 156, 0, 234 and 75 in the gorilla.png image. This hot spot should direct visitors to the London Zoo site at 4. You have defined a set of image map hot spots for an image that is 130 pixels tall and 100 pixels wide. Suppose you changed the size of the image file to 150 pixels tall and 110 pixels wide. How would this change affect your image map? In this activity, you reviewed the XHTML code syntax used to create an image map. Activity 9-1: Reviewing framesets In this activity, you will write the code required to create a frameset. 1. Write the XHTML tag required to create a frameset that defines two vertical panes. The first frame should use one-fourth of the browser window. The second frame should use three-quarters of the browser window. 2. Write the XHTML tags to place the Web page file menu.html in the first frame and the home.html file in the second frame. 3. Write the XHTML tag required to complete the basic frameset.
