Since 2002 has also started the designing and manufacturing of permanent magnet synchronous generators for renewable energy up to 3MW (referred to 14rpm). SICMEMOTORI is an ISO 9001:2008 Company. SICMEMOTORI can satisfy most of the requirements when variable speed drives are requested. The Company itself is organised according to the principles of the Lean production and Learning Organisation, and makes wide use of integrated software systems. The production procedure is managed by a mrp system; all working processes are recorded by means of an up-dated laser bar-code reader system, which characterises all internal working methods, whilst maintaining total control of the entire manufacturing process. The company has two production facilities for the production of motors and generators, both located in Turin. The new testing department allows to test electric machines with power up to 3,5MW (referred to 14rpm) with the back-to-back configuration. Hoisting equipments are suitable to move and to load weights up to 120 tonnes.
