Insert the small plug firmly into the clipper, then the main plug into the wall socket. The charging indicator lamp will light up to indicate that charging has begun. After 16 hours, the clipper will be fully charged. A full charge will supply enough power for about 1 hour. Charge the clipper for 16 hours before the first use. To keep the batteries in good condition, avoid charging the clipper too frequently. CORDED OPERATION Insert the small plug into the clipper, then the main plug into the wall socket. Wait for about a minute then switch on. TURBO FEATURE For an extra burst of power, push the Turbo button on the top side of the clipper. This will boost the motor of your clipper, producing faster cutting action and increased cutting power for the more difficult cutting tasks. USE OF THE CUTTING GUIDES Important : Always place the cutting guide on the clipper BEFORE switching the clipper on. Always switch the clipper off to change the cutting guide. The cutting guides provide you an even cutting length. The clipper comes with 4 cutting guides offering 12 cutting lengths. N mm N mm N mm N mm To install a cutting guide, insert the two lugs at the bottom of the cutting guide in the notches at the bottom of the blades. Push and hold the two buttons on each side of the clipper head to clip the guide on the blades. Each cutting guide allows 3 different cutting lengths. To adjust the cutting length, hold and press the two buttons on each side of the clipper head while pivoting the guide in order to block it in one of the three positions.

3 - Comb often to check and to clean off the cutted hair - Use the left and right ear combs to lightly taper over each ear MAINTENANCE Remove the cutting guide after each use. Regular care of the blades will maintain correct performances of the clipper. Detachable blades The blades of this clipper are removable for easy cleaning. Hold the clipper with blade frame pointing upwards and push up to take the blade frame out. SPECIAL OIL To maintain the blades of your Conair clipper in peak condition, oil them after every three or four haircuts. Gently place a few drops of oil on the teeth of the blades, using the special Conair oil included with your set. Turn the clipper on for a minute, then turn off. This light, natural oil was formulated specifically for the Conair high-speed clipper. Because it is the right oil to use, it will not slow down the blades. Never use any other product; there is no substitute for Conair oil. Brush away the hair from the blades with the cleaning brush.

When using the appliance with its cord, be mindful of tangles or kinks in the cord. If the cord does become tangled during use, turn the unit off and straighten cord before operating again. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS THE CONAIR GUIDE TO CUTTING HAIR AT HOME Before you start: 1. Inspect your clipper. Make sure it s free of hair and dirt, properly oiled, and running smoothly. 2. Place the barber cape around the neck of the person getting a haircut. 3. Seat the person so that his or her head is at your eye level.this gives you greater visibility and control. 4. First, comb hair until it s tangle-free. Then hold clipper in a comfortable grip. Now you re ready to cut.

6 To remove the cutting guide, hold and press the two buttons on each side of the clipper head and pull the guide up. CUTTING TECHNIQUES Only use the clipper on clean and dry hair. Use the cutting guide that leaves the hair the longest at first, until you become familiar with the clipper. If you want a shorter cut, use the next shorter cutting guide and go over hair again till you achieve the desired length. Always cut hair against the natural direction of hair growth. Start cutting from the back of the neck to the crown. Hold the clipper lightly against the hair with the teeth of the cutting guide pointing upwards, yet flat against the head and gradually lift the clipper upwards through the hair. Always maintain the clipper against the head while cutting. Outlining requires no cutting guide: for close trimming of the back of the neck and the contours, slide off guide, reverse the clipper and trim downwards. For longer hair (hair length greater than 27 mm) or if you are experienced enough, you can realise the hair cut using a comb or your fingers : - Use the clipper with no attachment - Lift a small strand of hair with the comb or hold it between the fingers - Move the comb or your fingers down the strand of hair to the desired cutting length For the top of the head, clip from the front to the back. - Cut to the desired length over the comb or the fingers

7 Ni-Cd BATTERIES This clipper contains Nickel-Cadmium batteries. To help protect our environment, these batteries should be removed for safe disposal at the end of the clipper s life. To remove the battery pack for disposal or recycling, please follow the below procedure: 1. First switch the clipper off and unplug it. Take out the blades and the 2 screws located under the blade frame. Take out also the screw located at the back of the clipper body. 2. Open the appliance and remove the batteries with cutting pliers. 3. For environmental reasons, do not discard the batteries with your regular refuse. Contact your local authorities for more details on recycling and safe disposal facilities in your area.
