In this situation, the first instinct is often to cut services. CHCs should first perform a thorough financial analysis before making any decisions. This analysis should include consideration of other program eligibility, self-pay payments, volume changes, and utilizing reserves. The presentation will focus on the unique issues and trouble spots related to California s Medi-Cal PPS rate-setting, scope of service change and reconciliation processes.
