1 Registration to this meeting will not include accommodation and since Avignon is a very popular tourist resort rooms in the walled city can be difficult to find at short notice. So to ensure that there will be sufficient high quality accommodation for all the delegates to the meeting we have entered into an arrangement with the Avignon Tourist Office to block sufficient hotel rooms at preferential rates. As organisers we have come to get to know most of the hotels in Avignon so we have only selected those that we are happy to recommend. These rooms will be held until 16 February 2014 after which we will release the rooms that have not been booked by delegates. After that date the hotel reservation service will still be available but we may not be able to find you rooms within comfortable walking distance of the conference venue. We are cordially inviting those participating in the conference to booking online via the Hotels link or if this presents difficulties you can also use of the Hotel Reservation Form from the Forms tab of this website. We recommend you book accommodation as soon as you can as there are limited numbers of the rooms indicated below. The tariffs shown are 2013 rates so please anticipate a small increase of approximately 5% by the time of the meeting.

It located in a secluded part of the town with its own cloistered gardens and a pleasant 15 minute walk to Palais des Papes, along the main shopping street Rue de la Rèpublique. In addition to very well appointed rooms its facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and its own car park.

As with the other four star hotels it offers all the modern facilities that one would expect and it is served by public parking (2 min) with reduced rates for hotel guests. Hotel Bristol 44 Cours Jean Jaures 71 / 95 / ,10 per guest Located within the city walls, in the very heart of the town and on the city's most beautiful street, the Hotel Bristol is an establishment with a tradition. Recognised by Qualité Tourisme, the establishment emphasises its personalised welcome. It is a short 10 minute walk to Palais des Papes. This is a superior three star hotel with a high standard of facilities and it offers garage parking (by prior arrangement) and there is also nearby public parking.

Hôtel d'angleterre 29 boulevard Raspail 82 /82 /87 9 1,10 per guest This charming family hotel is located on a quiet boulevard within the city walls and a pleasant 15 minute walk to the conference centre along the main shopping street. The rooms are air conditioned and have a range of facilities available for its guests. Secure parking is available free of charge to the availability of seats.

The hotel chain has been recently rebranding and was the ETAP chain. Although a budget option the rooms are very well appointed and the hotel has a 24 hour desk and offers many of the benefits expected from this well know hotel chain!
