Bellcom Handset Hosted Telecoms Explained Our VoIP telephone system is hosted in the cloud and located within a secure data centre. There is no physical box (PBX) that sits in your office and routes calls, it is all achieved using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). The IP link that carries the calls will typically be a business grade Broadband service enabling high quality and reliable communications. The system is controlled via an easy to use web portal and all of the features of the service are hosted in the network which frees you from maintenance charges and running costs, letting you invest the money saved in other areas of your business. We will advise and help you to make your system as secure as possible; Passwords of relevant complexity and are not obvious Passwords changed frequently Administrators limited to a small number All users to have PIN s PIN s to be changed frequently By taking a few simple and easy to manage steps, your hosted telephone system will be as locked down as possible and your risk of access from outside parties will be greatly reduced. The built in security features can also help you to support your business if adverse weather or a power cut causes a network failure. We can set-up external or mobile failover numbers and all calls can be routed via these numbers until the main network is up and running again

Put your callers on hold if you need to and choose hold music or play important customer information while they wait a short time. If a colleague can better help your caller, transfer them to another number either internally or externally. Or if you need to go to another location for information, park your caller and then pick them up again on another phone. Work as part of a team... Forward your calls to another team no caller will be left with just a ringing tone. Set up a hunt group so that calls go to the next available person in your team or pick up call for your team colleague using call pick-up. Know when to call a colleague by viewing their busy lamp keys Have a meeting... Use the conference feature and add a colleague to your call for a 3-way conversation for a quick and convenient meeting. Make a call... Dial again quickly with last number redial or assign speed dials for your favourite or most used numbers. Use the dialer on your computer to make calls directly from your Outlook phonebook no buttons to press or numbers to remember, just click (subject to system integration availability) Pick up your messages... View your new voice messages in your inbox and click to listen via your computer then store important messages or send to colleagues for an easy way of sharing information. Get a new voice message text on your mobile phone or a computer screen pop-up when a message is left or a call is waiting click to connect immediately. Listen to your voic messages regardless of where you are or share them with your team so that your caller will always be taken care of. Control your calls... Link your desk and mobile phones together so that they ring at the same time and share a voic box so you never miss a call and move the call between the two without your call being interrupted. Divert your call after a few rings to another phone or team when you re away from your desk. Choose to divert specific calls to your voic while you re unavailable so that you can capture any messages. Organise for all you callers to go voic for a while by pressing the Do Not Disturb button or deal with unwanted callers with call rejection. Control your contacts... Use your personal phonebook and assign short codes to numbers you use frequently. Work more efficiently and access the entire business phonebook no matter where you are located via your IP Phone.
