3 IMPORTANT Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and nonabrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 4 and 5 of this instruction manual. NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE LUE WITH DOWELS. EXESS LUE AN BE WIPED O WITH DAMP LOTH. Insert Dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet I NEESSARY. 2 4 X X INAL AM LOK SYSTEM OPERATION HOW THE KNOK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS. Screw am Bolt into the pre-drilled small holes on panel. onnect both panels together; making sure am Bolt goes into pre-drilled hole on the end of panel with am Lock. 2. Insert am Lock into pre-drilled large hole on panel. Make sure arrow on am Lock is pointed toward am Bolt.. Once am Bolt is connected inside am Lock, take a Phillips screwdriver and tighten am Lock clockwise. 4. Plug am ap into the cross slot of the am Locks to conceal the cam. 6 Assembly Instructions I NOTE: Please do not fully tighten all bolts until you finish assembling all parts. Once assembled, go back and fully tighten all bolts. This will make the assembly easier.. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assemble the unit on a carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratch. 2. Attach the Knobs (9) to the front side of drawers using the provided Knob Bolts (0) and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver.. Pull the side drawers all the way out, then push the plastic release lever of the ball bearing slide up on one side and down on the other side, and then pull the both side drawers completely out. 7 Assembly Instructions J K J K I I I J/K J/K Turn the Desk Top (I) upside down as shown. 5. Attach the Left and Right Legs (J and K) to the Desk Top (I) by using the Wood Dowels (). 6. Insert the 5 mm Bolts (6) with the Lock Washers (7) and lat Washers (8) from inside of desk apron through the pre-drilled holes and screw into threaded inserts in the Legs (J and K). As shown. 7. Stick one Rubber Pad () onto the bottom of each leg (J and K) as shown. 8. Ask for assistance to stand the unit upright and position it at the desired location. 9. Now, insert the removed side drawers into Desk Top (I). To place the drawer back, simply push the ball bearing cart all the way to the end of the slides (on both sides), and align the slide runners on the drawers with the slides track on the unit. Push it carefully inside until it stops. NOTE: If the drawer does not go smoothly, please take it out and repeat the step. 8 Assembly Instructions E D 2 B A 0. Locate the ixed Shelf (), Outside Panels (A and B), Inner Side Panels (D and E) with the holes facing up. Securely screw the am Bolts (2) into the designated small holes by a Phillips screwdriver, as shown Insert two Wood Dowel () into the large holes of Upper Dividers (). Tap it in with a rubber mallet, if necessary. Make sure that you use a small amount of glue with both ends of all dowels. 2. Align the drilled holes on the ixed Shelf () with the inserted Wood Dowels () on the Upper Dividers (), and then press them together. Insert two 8 mm Screws (4) through the countersunk holes on the ixed Shelf () and securely screw into the Upper Dividers (). As shown. Insert four Wood Dowels () into the top inner holes on the Lower Inner Side Panels (D and E) and attach them to the ixed Shelf () by engaging four am Locks () (Refer to page on am Lock system operation supplement). As shown. E D 4. Align and attach the Bottom Panels () to the Left and Right Inner Panels (D and E) respectively by using four Wood Dowels () and four am Locks (). As shown. 10 Assembly Instructions 4 4 H D E 5. Using the pilot holes as a guide, fasten the Back Panel (H) to the previous assembly with four 8 mm Screws (4) as shown. A H A/B B H 6. Insert twelve Wood Dowels () into the drilled large holes of last assembly at both ends. 7. Align the large holes on the Left Outside Panel (A) with the inserted Wood Dowels (), then firmly press them together and fasten it in place by engaging six am Locks (). 8. Plug the am Lock overs (5) onto the visible ams Locks to conceal the ams. 2. arefuly position the assembled hutch on the top of Desk Top (I) to prevent scratching.
