8 Brewhouse No. 4 Project Phoenix Part of Project Phoenix, a 159m capital investment at St James Gate Includes brewhouse, fermentation block and new Waste Water Neutralisation Plant (WWNP) One of the largest brewing projects worldwide Approx. 1,000 site workers at peak construction 1,000 tonnes of structural steel, 2000 tonnes of reinforcement 10,000m³ of reinforced concrete - 2,000m² stone cladding

23 Brewhouse No. 4 Energy & Atmosphere Installation of energy recovery system reducing requirement for steam heating in the brewing process, maximises the thermal energy recovered and minimises vapour losses from the brew house and atmosphere Installation of variable speed drives on the majority of process drives Installation of a hybrid refrigeration system aiming to use 0 instead of -4 Improved metering throughout the brewing process Target Air tightness of 3m 3 /(m 2 Pa, 2.7m 3 /(m 2 Pa

24 Brewhouse No. 4 Energy & Atmosphere Automatic lighting controls complete with high efficiency lighting and occupancy sensors HVAC systems condition through mechanical ventilation with specific fan power levels ensuring only a small portion of the building is air conditioned HVAC plant has been specified and procured based on low energy usage, fan speeds and high efficiency. A combined heat & power plant (CHP) provides electrical energy for the entire building HVAC and process plant and utilises 100% of the thermal energy for building services and process heating.
