Our ambitions are large - to help 100,000 borrower customers and capture a two-tothree per cent share of the $100 billion consumer finance market over the next five years. This will require $2-$3bn in investor funding commitments from a diversified source of investors (both domestic and offshore) including financial institutions, credit unions, life companies, superannuation funds, private clients and family trusts, hedge funds and (in the future) retail customers. 3 This Position We are looking for an experienced and innovative Chief Investment Officer to oversee all investor funding and treasury operations of SocietyOne, and to develop our investor funding strategy and vision. This includes investor acquisition as well as the development of new fixed income asset classes. You will be in charge of a team of investment professionals and will direct our investor funding activities towards achieving our short and long term growth goals. This includes actively growing and diversifying the investor funders of SocietyOne; managing and monitoring investment activity and returns; ensuring adequate daily and longer term liquidity to meeting borrowing growth requirements; working with external analysts and rating agencies, and maintaining good investor relations. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and being a key member of the SocietyOne Leadership team, the CIO s primary responsibility is to acquire and develop a diverse and broad set of investor funders that provide liquidity across credit risk grades and tenures (for an acceptable investment return) to support borrower customer loan growth. The CIO will achieve this by managing a team of 5 direct reports (see below) as well as by collaborating closely with SocietyOne s shareholders and investor funders. It is also expected that the CIO role will be a Board Director on SocietyOne Investment Management Pty Ltd and a Responsible Manager for that entity s Australian Financial Services Licence. Responsibilities Develop and execute the Board approved investor funding strategy and brand position for SocietyOne Working closely with the Head of Credit & Business Analytics and Chief Operating Officer to deliver acceptable return outcomes for investors (after fees and credit losses) and best-in-class customer reporting and servicing Develop and grow the number and breadth of investor partnerships across Financial Institutions, Credit Unions, Life Offices, Superannuation Funds, Hedge Funds, Private Clients, Family Trusts, and (in the future) Retail Clients Develop new investment products across all investor channels Promote SocietyOne and its asset classes through all forms of media including writing articles, interviews, public speaking and investor seminars Develop, implement and communicate the investor strategy in order to exceed investor growth/treasury funding targets Implement and manage the annual Investor Services expense budget for SocietyOne Leverage data and analytics to drive business and investor insights Develop customer segmentation, competitive analysis/market intelligence, prospecting, lead generation and channel management Build the SocietyOne brand and profile to become Australia s leading, most trusted, people powered lending marketplace including brand awareness/ recognition and brand preference Implement investor satisfaction/net promoter score/investor feedback/voice of the investor tracking systems and management reporting, and develop strategies to improve the end-to-end customer experience through UX design and process experience Oversee and direct the efforts of the Investor Services team. This will include managing the team and individuals to achieve their objectives including regular performance assessment and TL&D requirements

4 As part of the SocietyOne Leadership team, participate and contribute to the Company s success through involvement in Board of Director Meetings (as required), Weekly Leadership Team Meetings, Weekly Staff Stand Up sessions, Monthly Risk and Compliance and Product, Pricing and Credit Meetings, and other forums as required. Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications Minimum 15 years related experience in debt capital markets, fixed income/credit/alternative funds management, investor relations, treasury or related investment banking activities Bachelor degree in economics, finance, commerce or business administration CFA, DFP/RG146, MAICD qualifications preferred A proven track record of success in identifying, structuring and managing client fixed income/credit portfolios and facilities Strong knowledge of investment market participants, gatekeepers and opportunities in Australian and Offshore markets Strong client relationship management and contract negotiation skills Superb analytical and portfolio/treasury modelling skills Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Must be willing to be the face of SocietyOne to the external investor community (including press and public speaking engagements) Must live the SocietyOne values must have a high degree of honesty and integrity, and demonstrate a strong work ethic Entrepreneurial spirit.
