2 Position Objectives: Specifically, the role is responsible and accountable for: Service and case management, consultative support to educational staff and other professionals to facilitate inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in educational settings Direct support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in educational settings Supervision of School Inclusion Facilitators Participating in training for other professionals in the areas of expertise relating to the role Special Requirements: Current South Australian Drivers Licence Satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check and Catholic Education Clearance Reasonable additional hours of work may be required out of hours and weekends Must be prepared to work flexibly across programs should the need arise Access to own vehicle with appropriate insurance when Autism SA vehicles are not available May be required to travel intra/interstate Must be prepared to undertake any mandatory training Willingness to participate in an annual performance and professional review Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Service Delivery and Reporting Provide direct support for inclusion of students in educational settings Use appropriate assessments and investigation processes to determine the priority for program implementation Meet support targets, maintain accurate statistical data, and provide written assessment reports, including comprehensive recommendations Maintain client progress notes Manage the relevant administrative duties, including requests for service and response in an appropriate time frame Provide consultancy services for Early Intervention and Clinic Services families, through Preschools and child care centres in Greater Adelaide and Outreach regions 2. Professional Leadership and Staffing Provide professional support to staff Ensure maintenance of professional standards and service performance in conjunction with other Senior Allied Health Professionals Assist in the recruitment of staff, probation and orientation Assist in performance development and review Autism SA JD106 Page 2 of 6

Provision of information, education and support to families, service providers and the general public Develop and deliver Training programs in conjunction with Autism SA s Training Officer Respond to enquiries pertaining to school inclusion issues from schools, educational sectors, families, other professionals and the general public Maintain effective communication with families and relevant others 4. Key Relationships Reports to the Manager of Education and Training Services Seek advice and support from other Consultants within Autism SA and other appropriate organisations Support, mentor and advise less experienced staff and students Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, which may include service providers from other sectors and other Autism SA departments, utilizing a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches 5. Promotion and Representation of Autism SA Ensure a positive reputation for the organisation Contribute to the promotion of services to consumers and other agencies 6. Work as an integral staff member of Autism SA Meet target support hours, maintain accurate statistical data and complete reports as required, being accountable at all times for work practices Attend and participate in team meetings, planning days, full staff meetings Work in collaboration with other departments of Autism SA Seek training and development opportunities Ensure adherence to relevant organisational policies and procedures and work practices Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and apply quality improvement principles to all duties performed Undertake other duties that may be allocated from time to time that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification 7.
