2 Getting to know the USB Modem microsd card slot USB Interface Indicator 1 USB interface This connects the USB Modem to a computer. SIM/USIM card slot 2 SIM/USIM card slot This is a sketch of the USB Modem. Insert the SIM/USIM card into the slot. The actual product may differ in appearance. 3 microsd card slot Insert the microsd card into the slot. 4 Indicator This displays USB Modem status. When the USB Modem is powered up, the indicator will blink green. When the USB Modem is registering with a GPRS (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) network, the indicator will blink green. When the USB Modem has connected with a GPRS network, the indicator will shine green. When the USB Modem is registering with a 4G LTE/HSPA+/3G network, the indicator will blink blue. When the USB Modem has connected with a 4G LTE/HSPA+/3G network, the indicator will shine blue.

3 Preparation Getting the USB Modem ready 1 ) Open the back cover and the mircosd card slot lid. 2 ) Insert the SIM/USIM and microsd card properly into the card slots. 3 ) Close the back cover and the mircosd card slot lid.

4 Installation guide Installation procedures may differ in accordance with different Windows operating systems. 1) First, power-on the computer, then connect the USB Modem to the computer s USB interface. Note: Depending on network conditions, you can connect the USB Modem to a computer using the USB adaptor for better signal.

5 2) Wait for Windows to start the USB device detection. 3) Wait for Windows to complete the USB device detection.

6 4) Select the preferred language and click OK. If step (4) did not run automatically, please go to step (5). Otherwise go to step (6). 5) Go to My Computer, right-click the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager CD Drive and choose AutoPlay.

7 6) Welcome screen will appear. Click Next to continue. 7) Please read end user license agreement, select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next.

8 8) Select destination location. You can enter your preferred folder location. The default is C:\ Program Files \ PCCW \ NETVIGATOR Connection Manager. 9) Select Start Menu Folder.

9 10) Select the driver(s) you want to install, clear the selection(s) you don't want to install. Click Next when you are ready to continue. If you would like to select different driver, click More drivers. 11) Confirm installation. Click Next.

10 12) The software will be installed on your computer. A progress bar will indicate rate of installation. This may take around 10 minutes. 13) Do not insert the USB Modem again before installation is completed and the computer has been restarted. Click OK.

11 14) Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now and click Finish to reboot the computer. 15) After rebooting, plug in the USB Modem to the computer. Windows will start to install the USB Modem driver automatically.

12 If step (15) did not run automatically, please go to step (16). Otherwise go to step (17). 16) Go to My Computer, right-click the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager CD Drive and choose AutoPlay. 17) Wait for Windows to complete the USB Modem driver installation.

13 18) Select your service plan. Different service plans will trigger different sets of reminder messages. Note that you can change this option later. Choose OK to continue.

14 User guide 1 Starting & using the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager program NETVIGATOR Connection Manager is defaulted in Auto Select mode and will detect and select the best possible connectivity between our Wi-Fi*, 4G LTE/ HSPA+/3Gcapabilities. 1) Double-click the shortcut icon on the desktop to launch the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager program. 2) Alternatively, you can select Programs > PCCW > NETVIGATOR Connection Manager from the Windows Start menu. 3) The NETVIGATOR Connection Manager will scan for available networks. 4) When Ready is displayed by the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager status, you can access the Internet by clicking the Connect button. * If you want to connect Wi-Fi, make sure you have a Wi-Fi Network Interface Card which supports WPA/WPA2 with latest driver installed. 15 2 Tips to Day Plan user You can select Setting > Preference and choose Day Plan. System will then notify you whenever connect to 4G LTE/HSPA+/3G. Day-plan customers can limit connectivity to PCCW Wi-Fi if their plans include PCCW Wi-Fi : Limit to PCCW Wi-Fi connectivity by using NETVIGATOR Connection Manager's Override function, or Use the Wi-Fi function in your computer to connect via the PCCW Wi-Fi portal 1) Limit to PCCW Wi-Fi connectivity by using NETVIGATOR Connection Manager's Override function 1. Select Setting > Override Connection > Wi-Fi. 2. NETVIGATOR Connection Manager will search for an available Wi-Fi network and get connected. 3. If a Wi-Fi network is unavailable, your NETVIGATOR Connection Manager will not be able to connect to the 4G LTE/HSPA+/3G network under this setting.

16 4. If you would like to use the 4G LTE/HSPA+/3G network, Select Setting > Override Connection > Auto Select. Your NETVIGATOR Connection Manager will detect and select the best possible connectivity between our Wi-Fi, 4G LTE/HSPA+/3G capabilities. 5. NETVIGATOR Connection Manager is defaulted in Auto Select mode*. * If no Wi-Fi network is available, your NETVIGATOR Connection Manager will connect to the 4G LTE/HSPA+/3G network automatically. Day-plan customers will incur day charges in this scenario. 2) Use the Wi-Fi function in your computer to connect via the PCCW Wi-Fi portal 1. Launch your Internet browser. 2. Type any URL in the address field and you will be redirected automatically to the PCCW Wi-Fi login page (please switch off the Proxy server).

17 3. Please select Monthly Plan and follow the on-screen instructions, provide your login ID and password to login to the service. Your default login details are: Login ID: NETVIGATOR Everywhere SIM card mobile Mobile Password: First 6 digits of customer's HKID number 4. Upon successful login, the remaining time will appear on the top of the browser. To terminate your PCCW Wi-Fi session, simply click the Disconnect button.

18 3 Removing the USB Modem Note: Before removing the USB Modem, exit the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager. 1) Double-click in the status area. The unplug or eject hardware interface is displayed. 2) Select and stop the hardware relating to the USB Modem. 24 4) (Optional) Double-click the Driver Software Installation system tray icon to check which devices have been installed. 5) Windows will prompt you to run AutoRun.exe on the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager CD Drive. We recommend that you select the Always do this for software and games checkbox on the pop-up window in prevent Windows asking for confirmation next time. Click Run AutoRun.exe to continue.

25 If step (5) did not run automatically, please go to step (6). Otherwise go to step (7). 6) Open Computer icon, right-click the NETVIGATOR Connection Manager CD Drive and choose Install or run program from your media. 7) Windows will prompt you to run DataCard_Setup.exe and click Yes to continue.

26 8) Select the preferred language and click OK. 9) Welcome screen will appear. Click Next to continue.

27 10) Please read end user license agreement, select I accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next. 11) Select destination location. You can enter your preferred folder location. The default is C:\ Program Files \ PCCW \ NETVIGATOR Connection Manager and click Next.

28 12) Select Start Menu Folder and click Next. 13) Select the driver(s) you want to install, clear the selection(s) you don't want to install. Click Next when you are ready to continue. If you would like to select different driver, click More drivers.

29 14) Confirm installation. Click Install. 15) The software will be installed on your computer. A progress bar will indicate rate of installation.

30 16) Unplug the USB Modem from the computer. Do not insert the USB Modem again before installation is completed and the computer has been restarted. Click OK. 17) Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now, and click Finish to reboot the computer.

31 18) After rebooting, plug the USB Modem into the computer. Windows will install the USB Modem driver automatically. 19) Wait for Windows to complete the USB Modem driver installation (during the installation, Windows may ask the user again to run AutoRun.exe. This is needed so that you can click Run AutoRun.exe to continue).

32 20) Select your service plan. Different service plans will trigger different sets of reminder messages. Note that you can change this option later. Choose OK to continue.
