2 NASH ELEMENTARY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES Goal 1: Objective 1: Objective 2: Objective 3: We will commit to providing a relevant, challenging curriculum that rapidly responds to the diverse needs of the students, community and global workforce. We will increase performance in all student groups through delivery of a rigorous and relevant instructional program. 80% of all students and student groups will meet the passing standard on all state assessments. Decrease the number of special education students receiving modified curriculum and instruction through continued implementation of Response to Intervention (RtI) strategies in reading and mathematics as well as with the implementation of collaborative teaching. Goal 2: Objective 1: Objective 2: Objective 3: Objective 4: Objective 5: Objective 6: Objective 7: All students will take ownership in their personal learning in a trusting, supportive and mutually respectful environment. Nash Elementary will provide all students with a safe and conducive learning environment by reducing discipline referrals and DAEP placements. All students will have and maintain a Data Notebook as well as conduct student led conferences. Nash Elementary School will ensure that all Limited English Proficient students continue to progress at least one level of proficiency on TELPAS each year. 80% of all English Language Learners will be at or above proficiency on STAAR in all subject areas. We will ensure the academic readiness of Pre-Kindergarten students transitioning to Kindergarten. Students will continue the use of KnoMi for the purpose of goal setting. Continue implementation of Kids at Hope to instill confidence in students that they can be successful.
3 NASH ELEMENTARY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES Goal 3: Objective 1: Objective 2: Objective 3: Objective 4: Objective 5: We will develop a highly qualified and diverse staff that will promote high expectations for all. We will effectively implement Data Walks to determine professional development needs, increase the use and diversity of research-based practices and improve student performance. We will provide staff development activities and develop a culture of learning through professional dialogue among horizontal and vertical teams of teachers by establishing professional learning communities. We will improve performance of all student groups by ensuring that a targeted professional development plan is in place to enhance effective curriculum delivery. We will develop the Leader in Me habits within each student and staff member. We will continue to provide effective professional development to teachers and staff in order to provide a high level of education to all of our students. Goal 4: Objective 1: We will facilitate family and community involvement in the growth and success of the students. Nash Elementary School will increase community/parent involvement and establish positive community partnerships through personal, media, and written contact with stakeholders.
