1 MY 1 ADVANTAGES High tightness luminaires (IP 67) Size adaptable to the lamp used Range of mountings MY 1: aluminium and polycarbonate: outstanding strength : aluminium and glass: remarkable fire resistance DESCRIPTION The MY 1 luminaire is designed to be vandal resistant and incorporates various types of lamps. MY 1: Luminaire consisting of an extruded aluminium alloy body sealed onto an extruded polycarbonate prismatic protector with high impact resistance IK 10; a removable sliding plate equipped with control gear on one side and lamp(s) on the other; one or two frames made out of injection moulded polycarbonate sealed onto the ends of the luminaire with one or two polycarbonate covers closed with two stainless-steel screws. This system ensures a tightness of IP 67 for the whole luminaire. : Luminaire consisting of an extruded and painted aluminium alloy body sealed onto a borosilicate glass prismatic protector; a removable sliding plate equipped with control gear on one side and lamp(s) on the other; one or two aluminium frames sealed onto the ends of the luminaire with one or two die cast aluminium alloy covers closed with two stainless-steel screws. This system ensures a tightness of IP 67 for the whole luminaire. Polyester powder coating. The luminaire shows remarkable fire resistance. It is entirely made of aluminium sealed with glass. Available in any colour. 2 MY MY 1 Injection-moulded polycarbonate door, self coloured. Stainless steel mounting brackets, coloured by Rilsan, pull-out and lockable version available. Extruded aluminium alloy body. Very short synthetic gasket inserted into the door of the luminaire: IP 67 tightness level. The door and inner frame system ensures complete tightness. Plug and socket connection system. Cable gland PG 13. Visual comfort: prismatic protector. High impact resistance level due to the extruded polycarbonate protector. High tightness level (IP 67): protector sealed onto the body. 3 On request, the luminaire can be fitted, on both sides, with a door and inner frame system. Semicylindrical protector made of extruded prismatic borosilicate glass. Body made of extruded aluminium alloy with a semi-hexagonal section, which can be painted in any RAL colour. Special anticorrosion paint (optional). Synthetic strap holds the door during maintenance. Very short gasket guarantees an IP 67 tightness level. 4 MY PHOTOMETRY One or two lamps The MY range of luminaires can be fitted with one or two fluorescent lamps (18-58 W) and compact fluorescent lamps (7-55 W). The MY luminaires can also be fitted with a lowpressure sodium lamp (26-36 W). The presence of two lamps ensures uninterrupted lighting in the event of one faulty lamp. The photometry depends on the number of lamps and how they are arranged. The fluorescent lamps can be placed singly, side by side or end to end, as desired. Refractor protectors The refractor protectors of the MY luminaires significantly cut down glare and provide a comfortable light distribution. Reflector The MY 1 luminaire can be fitted with a reflector which concentrates light distribution (one lamp only). Colour filter For special applications such as illuminating monuments, the MY 1 luminaire can be fitted with colour filters treated to withstand UV rays thus guaranteeing colour permanence. 5 MAINTENANCE To gain access to the lamp and control gear, simply undo the two stainless steel captive screws of the side access door. A strap () or double hinge (MY 1) holds the door during maintenance. An extra-short gasket guarantees lifelong tightness, thus dispensing with the need for any internal cleaning. The plate to which the control gear and lamps are attached is easily removed in one piece. The luminaire has undergone 30 kpa pressure and depression tests to meet, for example, the strict demands of lighting the Channel Tunnel.
