1 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Jesus Christ is both God and the Son of God. While Jesus was on earth, He showed people what His Father, God, is like and did things that only God could do. Jesus had to be fully God to save us from our sins because only God is without sin. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. Who are the three persons of God? Which one do you know the best? 2. Tell a story: Did you have a best friend growing up? Someone whom you spent countless hours with during the year? Describe how your best friendship began. What choices did you make? How did you meet? What did you do to grow in your friendship? Is there any similarity between your story and getting to know Jesus? 3. If you know Jesus as your Savior, what can you do to show Jesus is God in your life? Is Fully God section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to write about or draw a picture of one thing that only God can do. HEBREWS 1:3 Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

2 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Jesus Christ has always been God. But because of His love for us, He chose to limit His knowledge and power as God to become human. When Jesus lived on earth, He went through the same kinds of struggles we have, but He never sinned. He became human to save us from our sin. Jesus is both fully God and fully human. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. How does knowing what challenges Jesus faced help us with our challenges? 2. Tell a story: Often times, our children don t know much about the struggles we faced. We don t share them because of fear or perhaps embarrassment. Pick a story from your past where you struggled with something or someone and share that story with your child. 3. How will following Jesus example of how to live affect the way you treat others? Is Fully Man section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to draw a picture of themselves and write all the roles they have at the same time (son, cousin, grandson, student, athlete). JOHN 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

3 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Every person, including you, is a sinner. The punishment for sin is death and separation from a relationship with God because God must punish sin. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. When you trust that His death took the punishment for your sin, you are forgiven. You are saved from punishment and have a relationship with God forever. That s why Jesus Christ is called Savior. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. Who has sinned and who needs a Savior? 2. Tell a story: Kids love to hear about our past mistakes. It makes us more relatable to them. Often we don t share them with our kids because we don t want to passively give them permission to do the same. However, find a time and share a story about when you got in trouble and suggest the different decisions you could have made. 3. Who is someone you can tell about Jesus this week? Is Savior section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to write about or draw a picture of a time when they got in trouble and the punishment they received for what they did. 1 PETER 2:24 Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed.

4 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! If Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead, our faith would be worth nothing. But because Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and rose again, when we trust Him as our Savior, we are saved from sin. We also have the sure hope that when we die, He will raise us up and give us new bodies so we can live forever in heaven with Him. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. What is the difference between hoping for earthly things and the hope we receive after we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior? 2. Tell a story: Do you have goals or dreams? Find some time and share them with your child. Share why they matter to you and why you re pursuing them. Ask your child about their goals or dreams. 3. What is one goal or dream that you have for your family? Conquered Death section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to write about or draw a picture of something they hope they will get someday. I CORINTHIANS 15:19-20 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the fi rstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

5 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Jesus Christ showed us love, forgiveness, and grace when we didn t deserve it. He continues to treat us with grace. We should follow His example by showing love, forgiveness, and grace to others. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. Who is our greatest example to follow? 2. Tell a story: Did you have a favorite coach, teacher, or mentor growing up? Why was that person so special to you? Tell some stories to your child about how important that person was in your life. 3. How can we show the love of Christ to others and our family this week? Wants Us to Follow Him section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to write about or draw a picture of someone who was a good example to them. EPHESIANS 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifi ce to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

6 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Grace means giving someone something good he or she doesn t deserve. But God gave us grace through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died on the cross so we could have the good gifts of forgiveness and eternal life that we do not deserve. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. Who deserves punishment for sin? What does God give us when we trust Christ as our Savior? 2. Tell a story: Was someone really mean to you as a kid? A friend, a sibling, perhaps even a teacher or parent? Tell a story about how you were unkindly treated. How did you respond? 3. How can you show grace to others or your family this week? Showed Grace to Others section in the T&T kid s handbook, your T&T kids were asked to think about someone who has been mean or unkind to them, and then write about or draw a way that they could show grace to that person this week. 1 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus.

7 HEY, PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS! Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith. When we understand who He is, we learn how utterly helpless we are on our own. We can choose to accept the gift of salvation through Him and can then learn how to live a life of love and grace to others by following Christ s example. Use the following questions below to continue the conversation with your child. 1. Have you trusted Jesus as your Savior? Do you trust that Jesus Christ died on the cross and took the punishment for your sin? 2. Tell a story: Tell a story about a time when you shared the gospel with someone. What did you say? How did the conversation go? Share this experience with your child. 3. Who needs to hear the truth about Jesus Christ this week? What can your family do to share Christ with your community?
