2 How Can I Register for an Event? Companionship Event Registration Companionship registration involves signing up and paying any fees for an event or class by a specific date. This ensures that we reach the minimum number of participants required in order to hold the event or class. We offer several different ways to register. They are: Online Once at the webpage, click on the Register Online link. This method allows you to register 24 hours a day using a Visa or MasterCard. Phone In Call You can register over the phone Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm using a Visa or MasterCard. Walk In Head to the Lakewood Community Center (located at 9112 Lakewood Drive SW in Lakewood) Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. This method allows you to pay by cash, check, Visa, or MasterCard. Mail In Complete the registration form to the right and mail it along with your payment to the Lakewood Community Center at 9112 Lakewood Drive SW, Lakewood, WA, With this method you can pay with check. If you have any questions about the registration process, please call the Lakewood Community Center at Events that teens are able to attend without a parent or guardian require an additional registration form. 3 All Aboard! Santa Sounder 2015 Time for Companionship s annual Santa Sounder Event. Board the Sounder in Puyallup and make the round-trip to Seattle with us. We ll have fun holiday activities and crafts while we re onboard the train. We ll catch the 5:07 p.m. train from Puyallup to Seattle, remain onboard, and return to Puyallup on the 6:12 p.m. train, arriving in Puyallup at 6:51 p.m. Upon our return to the Puyallup station, we ll be greeted by Santa! This will be the perfect opportunity to tell Santa about any last minute gifts you would like. Monday, December 21 4:45-7:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 22 4:45-7:15 p.m. Don t wait too long to register; both trains are expected to fill up quickly! Registration ends December 10th. $10/rider - Ages 6 & up $5/rider - Ages 5 & under (Fee includes round-trip train ride, snack & activities) 3

4 September Events September 11 - Monthly Swim Night 7:00-8:30 p.m. Clover Park High School Pool Gravelly Lake Drive, Lakewood Time to splash around with all of your Companionship friends at our monthly swim night! FREE September 17 - Companionship Soccer Camp: 1st Session September 24 - Companionship Soccer Camp: 2nd Session South Hill Community Park Corner of 86th Ave E & 144th St E, South Hill Puyallup South Hill Community Park Corner of 86th Ave E & 144th St E, South Hill Puyallup Have you ever wanted to try soccer but haven t had the opportunity or were too nervous to try? Wow, do we have the club for you! We ll learn the basics of soccer in a fun, positive, and encouraging environment. This club will meet weekly for 4 weeks. Each week we ll start with a skills session and build on the skills we learned the previous week. Registration with payment by September 11th is required for this club. See page 2 for registration information. Time to practice those skills we learned last week and learn some new ones! To participate in Companionship s Soccer Camp, you must have been registered by September 11th. $20/person (fee includes all 4 sessions, t-shirt, individual photo and group photo) Registration Deadline: September 11th 4

6 October 1 - Companionship Soccer Camp: 3rd Session South Hill Community Park Corner of 86th Ave E & 144th St E, South Hill Puyallup Time to practice those skills we learned last week and learn some new ones! This is picture night, so be sure to wear your club tee shirt and your best smile! To participate in Companionship s Soccer Club, you must have been registered by September 11th. October 2 - Monthly Swim Night 7:00-8:30 p.m. Clover Park High School Pool Gravelly Lake Drive, Lakewood Time to splash around with all of your Companionship friends at our monthly swim night! FREE October 3 Sea Creatures 11:30 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Les Davis Pier, Ruston Way in Tacoma Join Companionship along the water on Ruston Way at Les Davis Pier. We will be exploring animals, creatures, rocks and shells from the bottom of Puget Sound. Watch as our scuba diving friends get geared up and go underwater to find us things to touch and hold in sensory bins on the surface. See what it is like to dive under the water! Our scuba friends will have a waterproof camera and will show us the footage when they are finished. Maybe we will even see a seal swimming around the pier! Don t worry about getting wet because our scuba friends will bring all of their treasures up to the park for you to touch. $5/person with registration by Sept. 30th $8/person day of event (limited availability; cash only) Registration Deadline: September 30th October Events October 8 - Companionship Soccer Camp: 4th Session South Hill Community Park Corner of 86th Ave E & 144th St E, South Hill Puyallup Time to practice those skills we learned last week and learn some new ones! This is our last session, so we ll be handing out pictures and certificates at the end of the night! To participate in Companionship s Soccer Club, you must have been registered by September 11th. October 9 - Harvest Party 6:00-7:30 p.m. Frontier Park Shelter Meridian South, Graham The time has come for us to gather together and enjoy the harvest season. Join Companionship as we celebrate with fun art projects, face painting, pumpkin bowling, and even a candy walk! Each participant will take home a painted gourd and plenty of Halloween candy. This event is for all ages, but if you have little ones we ask that parents join them in the fun! Halloween costumes are always welcome! All ages, ages 12 & under with guardian $8/person Teens & Young Adults, you can come to this event without your parents/guardians! Registration must be fully completed and approved for drop offs. Registration Deadline: October 2nd October 16 - Top Chef: 1st Session Lakewood Community Center, Room # Lakewood Drive SW, Lakewood Who s hungry? Companionship is! Learn basic food preparation skills and have a tasty treat in this series of cooking classes. Each week we will learn to prepare several dishes and then finish the night chowing down on our freshly prepared grub. This series will focus on snacks and small meals. Yum! Bring a three ring binder to store all of the recipes. Registration with payment is required by October 1st.
