3 INTRODUCTION It is Jones Lang LaSalle's intention to provide a safe working environment for the building occupants, visitors, contractors and employees. Jones Lang LaSalle's requirements of all contractors and building personnel are that they work in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations. The information contained in this booklet provides you with an outline of Jones Lang LaSalle's procedures that must be adhered to. The need to establish the exact requirement in what should be provided may need to be adequately researched and applied with the relevant Legislative Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and By-Laws. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND EXIT All contractors must firstly report to the Building Operations Supervisor/Facilities Manager or in the case of retail branch sites the client site representative and sign the Contractor's In/Out Register on each entry and exit. If you are not registered as completing Jones Lang LaSalle's Site induction, you will be required to undergo an induction prior to commencing any work on site. Induction Conditions It is a condition of entry to these premises that the Contractor complies with this handbook. It is a condition of entry to these premises that the Contractor under-stands their responsibilities and obligations when working in Jones Lang LaSalle's managed properties by completing the Site Induction process. It is a condition that the Contractor shall complete a Site Specific Risk Management Plan and develop SWMS as required. It is the responsibility of all personnel at these premises to work in a safe manner and report immediately any breaches of Occupational Health & Safety to the Building Operations Supervisor/Facilities Manager.

4 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY CONTRACTORS REQUIREMENT Safety The Contractor shall: a take all reasonable and proper safety precautions to prevent death or injury to any person and in particular all Equipment used by the Contractor shall be used in the manner and maintained and stored so as to prevent unauthorised use thereof and to minimise the danger of accident, death, injury, loss or damage arising from the use of such Equipment; b. ensure that the Contractor's Personnel and Subcontractors Personnel are conversant with and adhere to all relevant Occupational Health & Safety legislation and the requirements of this Compliance Handbook and confirm agreement by completing the Contractors Occupational Health & Safety Site Induction; c. provide materials that are adequately equipped, guarded, protected, approved and serviced on a regular basis so as to maintain the highest safety protection to the Contractor's Personnel, other persons on the Premises and the public. d. ensure that all electrical installations, materials, extension cords, fittings and the like provided for the Services comply with the requirements of all relevant authorities and are appropriately tested and tagged. e. take all reasonable precautions against damage to the Premises finishes. f. take all reasonable precautions against fire production of smoke or the "off gassing" of any noxious substance. Where required complete a Hot Works Permit and or notify where an impairment notice is required. g. have available a first aid kit with the necessary supplies for the proper and safe provision of the Services. h. immediately remove from the Premises materials that in the Client's opinion could constitute a health hazard or which are defective or inadequate for that part of the Services for which they are required. i. ensure that the Contractor's Personnel comply with all safety procedures, building rules and requirements that apply to the Premises; j. remedy any failure to comply with a safety procedure or requirement applying to the Premises on notice from the Client, provide notice to the Client, with regard to any unsafe or non-compliant equipment or process of which the Contractor becomes aware; k. ensure that the Contractor's Personnel are adequately trained and instructed in the safe and correct usage, handling and operation of materials relevant to the Services and provide reasonable proof of such to the Client on request.

5 ACCIDENT / INCIDENT REPORTING All accidents/incidents (near misses) which occur while performing work on site must be reported to the Building Operations Supervisor/Facilities Manager and the client site representative as soon as possible, irrespective of the severity of the situation. If you become aware of a situation which in your opinion is dangerous, or has the potential to cause harm, you must report it to the Building Operations Supervisor/Facilities Manager and the client site representative. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES All Contractors must comply with the emergency plan detailed for the premises. Details of the emergency plan may be obtained from the Building Operations Supervisor/Facilities Manager for that particular site. INSURANCE GUIDES AND LIMITS Prior to any works being carried out on site it is necessary to provide evidence (Certificate of Currency) of current insurance s as follows: Public Liability Insurance s Workers Compensation The Public Liability Policy must provide a minimum cover of twenty million dollars ($20,000,000.00) or such greater amount as stated by the Owner. PERMITS "Safety First" as an applied principle ensures that hazardous situations are eliminated. However, it is not always possible to achieve this. Therefore, whenever it is necessary for work to be carried out in any hazardous situations, a permit must be used. Types of permits that are required to be utilised prior to any associated works commencing on site are: Service Isolation Request Permit Hot Work Permit Confined Space Permit Working at a Height Permit BMU Operation Permit

6 GENERAL CONDITIONS Security The Contractor must take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure that the security of the Premises is maintained at all times during the performance of the works. Where keys are supplied to the Contractor for the purpose of ingress and egress, the Contractor must take all necessary precautions to secure those keys. The Contractor must wear a uniform which at all times be clean and neatly pressed and bear notation clearly identifying the Contractors Company name. Conduct No smoking - all Jones Lang LaSalle managed properties are smoke free environments. Smoking is not permitted in any area within the Premises under any circumstances. Alcohol and drugs - Any Contractor under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted to work on Jones Lang LaSalle managed sites. Housekeeping General - work areas must be kept clean and tidy from rubbish and other safety hazards. Rubbish must be cleaned up promptly. Amenities - general facilities are provided to you. Please leave amenities and facilities in a clean and tidy state.
