2 The Natural Choice for Increased Crop Growth and Yield BorreGRO HA-1 is a modified potassium humate derived from the plant active portions of lignite ore. It is a patented product designed to provide superior solubility over the entire useful ph range and can be formulated with both basic and acidic fertilizers. PLANT NUTRITION BorreGRO HA-1 An Effective Soil Conditioner for Improved Crop Growth SUPERIOR SOLUBILITY AND MIXING PROPERTIES As both an alkaline and acid soluble potassium humate, BorreGRO HA-1 is truly unique. Unlike other humates, BorreGRO HA-1 completely dissolves and will not precipitate when added directly to most fertilizer, nutrient and tank mix formulations. In comparison to conventional humate products which can cause nozzle plugging problems, BorreGRO HA-1 can be easily applied through fertigation, drip or spray irrigation systems. The product s unique solubility properties prevent the build up of insoluble humic sludges that normally clog lines under low flow. As a formulation component and in tank mixes, BorreGRO HA-1 powder readily dissolves without leaving insoluble clumps. LOW SOLUTION VISCOSITY BorreGRO HA-1 is produced using a proprietary extraction and modification process. This process yields a high humic acid content product with a low solution viscosity. BorreGRO HA-1 can be blended and pumped easily, and it will not gel on storage like some conventional humate products. HIGH ION EXCHANGE CAPACITY BorreGRO HA-1 has excellent stability under various soil ph conditions. It is highly effective for complexing metals and for preparing various micronutrient solutions (7% Zn, 7% Mn, 5% Cu, 5% Fe and 4% Mg).

4 IMPROVED NUTRIENT UPTAKE Good nutrient management, especially of phosphorus, has been shown to be an extremely important factor in crop production. Tests conducted in locations across the USA over several years have shown that BorreGRO HA-1 can complex nutrients, making them more available for uptake by the growing plant. In 2004 and 2005 trials run on potatoes and sweet melons, the levels of phosphorus and other nutrients measured in the petioles of the plants were higher for those plants treated with fertilizer and BorreGRO HA-1 than for those treated with fertilizer alone. 5 INCREASED PRODUCE SIZE & QUANTITY Trials conducted in Idaho, California and Florida on potatoes, sweet melons and tomatoes demonstrated that the addition of BorreGRO HA-1 to standard fertility programs can provide significant increases in both yield and produce size. As illustrated in the figures below, the addition of BorreGRO HA-1 to a standard fertility program leads to a larger percentage of the crop being either of higher quality or larger size, and therefore having fewer culls or smaller fruit. Microbes oxidize the available organic carbon present in the soil and utilize it as an energy source. In turn they convert and transfer nutrients in the soil back to the plants, thereby creating an environment more conducive to strong root growth. 6 INCREASED YIELDS In seventeen trials conducted over a three year period in Texas, Florida, California and Idaho, the addition of BorreGRO HA-1 to standard fertility programs resulted in an average increase in total crop yield of more than 10%. Research for all crops showed consistent crop yield increases when BorreGRO HA-1 was applied along with a standard fertilizer program. Therefore, the effect of BorreGRO HA-1 is not limited to a specific crop, growing region, time period or soil type. WHAT DOES BORREGRO HA-1 DO? 7 GREENER TURF WITH BORREGRO HA-1 BorreGRO HA-1 has been shown to enhance shoot and root growth in turf. Bentgrass turf treated with BorreGRO HA-1 and fertilizer had significantly higher levels of the elements Fe and Zn than when grown with fertilizer only. This resulted in turf with more chlorophyll. Another trial on Bermuda grass showed good top growth with excellent root growth when treated with BorreGRO HA-1 and fertilizer. BorreGRO HA-1 is a soil amendment, and not a fertilizer. As such, it should always be used as part of a standard fertility program. Always read and follow label instructions when using BorreGRO HA-1.
