2 Dates to Remember Friday, February 5th - Family Dance in the Gym 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, February 8th - No School - Vacation Day Wednesday, February 10th - Ash Wednesday / All School Mass 8:00 a.m. Friday, February 12th - Group Photos Bring Your Water Bottles Tomorrow is Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart. Attire for the day is spirit wear top and dress down bottoms. 8:30-11:00 Lower grades will do Jump Rope for Heart 12:00-2:00 Upper grades will do Hoops for Heart Heart Healthy snacks such as fruit, granola bars, etc. are needed. If you are able to donate, please drop off your donation in the School Office. Make sure your child(ren) brings a water bottle to school as drinks will not be provided. Six Flag Read to Succeed Reminder If you are participating in Six Flags Read to Succeed, don t forget to turn in your log of 360 minutes or more into the School Office by this Friday, February 5th. We need the log to enter the information in before the deadline or you will not receive your Six Flag ticket. Bake Sale! This Sunday, February 7 is another opportunity for you to get delicious home made baked goods by our 8th grade parent and student bakers! After each mass, please visit the table in the gathering area for your treats! Thank you for supporting our 8th grade class trip to Washington, D.C. in April! 5 Where in the World Is Your Shoebox Going? Thank you for blessing children in need through Operation Christmas Child and for donating online to discover the destination of your shoebox gift. Your shoebox has begun its journey and will be delivered to a child in Kenya. The gift-filled box you packed will share the love of God in a tangible way and can impact not only the boy or girl who receives it, but also their family and community. You can learn more about how Operation Christmas Child is working in Kenya, and then share it with your friends via social media. Most important, please remember to pray for the child who will receive your gift. Thank you, and may God bless you! Franklin Graham, President Oratorical Contest for 7th & 8th Graders The Mukwonago Optimist Club is sponsoring an oratorical contest. The topic this year is How My Best Brings Out the Best in Others. Local cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be awarded to the winners. District winner receives a $2,500 college scholarship. Applications can be picked up in the School Office or at the Mukwonago Public Library. The application must be returned by March 1st with the contest being held at Mukwonago Public Library on Tuesday, March 8th from 3:30-8:00 p.m. Applications are also available on the internet at mukwonagooptimist.com-calendar-march 8-application.

7 Home & School Community News Join us tonight for our February planning meeting 6:30 8 in the Mark Room. Catholic Schools Week Family Dance Celebrating 60 Years! Remember to join us this Friday from 6-8 pm for the Family Dance to close out Catholic Schools Week. Thanks! Are you good with numbers or do you enjoy planning events? Interested in becoming more involved with Home and School but not sure how? We are actively looking for a Treasurer and President Elect/ Vice President to begin 2 year terms starting July Thank you to Iris Apriesnig for her two years as Treasurer and to Angela O Boyle for her 4 years as President Elect/President! The cost is $16 for swimmers and $5 for nonswimmers. Children must be supervised, the event is 10am-3:00.
