3 Today Feb. 4, 2016, 11 th graders and 12th graders should come to the auditorium during STEP to pick up their PSAT Score report using the same entrance and exit lower level T hallway. On Friday there will be a short assembly in the auditorium for all students that took the PSAT during STEP to familiarize you with how to access the College Board website to tell you what your scores mean.

4 The Freedom Movement club is meeting today during STEP. Everyone is invited. Please come and learn how you can make a difference in someone s life! Thank you

The Anime Club is selling these items Wednesday & Friday afternoons right after school.they will be set up in the main lobby of WM So,at the end of your day,stop by and pick up a slice of cheesy pizza

8 The permit testing that was originally scheduled for January 30th has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 20 at WMHS at 12:00. Please come to the main office and fill out the permission slips. If you already filled out a permission for January 30th you will need to fill out another permission slip. All permission slips are due on February 18th.Thanks"

9 Our PTSA is having a Ledo s Spirit Night, February 23rd from 4pm until 10 pm. located in the Montgomery Village Shopping Center, Don t forget, tell your cashier, you are with Watkin s Mill High School.

10 Attention Students. Saturday school is continued to be offered here at the mill. If you need help with work, need help studying, or need more time to learn a subject Saturday school is the place to be. If you want to find out more come back to school on Feburary 6th at 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. There is a free breakfast from 8:15-8:30 for all students enrolled.

11 Any student who is interested in being a counselor for March to the Mill please come to C208 during STEP on Friday, February 5th. The meeting will start promptly at 11:15 am. Even if you're a seasoned counselor or have helped in previous years, I still need you at this meeting. Please see Ms. Leecost should you have any questions. 12 To all college bound Seniors: Check out the blue scholarship bin in the College/Career Center. Several fraternities and sororities and civic organizations want to give you money but you have to apply. If you have at least a 3.0 cumulative weighted GPA and are going to MC next year, pick up the Board of Trustees Scholarship. Additional scholarships can be found on the College/Career Center page.

13 The Montgomery Scholars and the Macklin Business Scholars Programs deadlines have been extended until this Friday, February 5. Seniors, there s still time to apply.

14 On Wednesday Feb 17 there will be a college fair at Paint Branch HS for all high school students and their parents featuring 60 historically black colleges. The fair is from 6 pm to 8 pm. Students must register to attend. Take a picture of the link on one of the many flyers in the halls. Print out the registration ticket and take it with you to the fair. This is a great opportunity to learn about academic programs and scholarship opportunities..

15 The NAACP Scholarship for any minority senior with a 3.0 weighted GPA or higher and community service is available now in the College/Career Center. There will be several awards of $1000. The deadline has been extended until February 26. Now for some wolverine sports

16 If you are interested in playing baseball this spring for WMHS, there will be a baseball meeting on Tuesday, Feb 9th at 11:15 in the weight room. All are welcome Thanks.
