Retailers can be burdened with lost sales opportunities because of an out of stock situation or because of the inability of the store associate to locate them quickly and in time. SAP On-Shelf-Availability, a mobile ipad based solution, provides real-time visibility to on-shelf inventory situations in retail stores, and enables store associates to take immediate actions to prevent lost sales. PROACTIVELY MANAGE ON-SHELF AVAILABILITY SAP On-Shelf-Availability solution, which provides visibility to on-shelf inventory situations in retail stores, can be used to detect and visualize situations in real time and take immediate actions to prevent further loss in sales. This tool will tell the user which department and shelf location to go to directly, saving hours of stock verification time on a daily basis. It can be used to analyze patterns of out-of-shelf situations to proactively prevent them in the future. ENABLING SMARTER STORE ASSOCIATES Retailers can send real-time alerts to store associates for products that may have issues with the help of SAP On-Shelf-Availability Store Associate mobile app for ipad. Store associates in different departments can respond to these alerts quickly by either refilling the shelf with products or triggering follow-on activities. Store managers can view details on how store associates resolved each of the issues using the SAP On-Shelf-Availability Store Associate mobile app. Store managers can use this information to optimize resource scheduling, inventory management and planning.
