Release 7 and abve. Insert the USB flash drive int an available USB prt. 2. If the system displays a message indicating that the perating system detected the new device and requires specific drivers, lad any required drivers t access the device as a remvable drive. Nte: Wait 10 secnds befre attempting t use a newly inserted drive. Display the images yu want t cpy. 1. On the Online tab, select the exam and click View r Read. 2. Display the image in the viewing windw. 3. Cpy ne r mre images. If a single image is displayed: Page 1 f 5

2 Press Alt+F10 Nte: OR frm a Dminatr wrkstatin, click Dminatr menu and select Cpy Image File. OR frm a Catapult wrkstatin, click the Ambass menu and select Cpy Image File. The Cpy Image File dialg bx pens. Nte: Under Destinatin File Frmat, AVI frmat is nly available in Release 8.2 and abve. If multiple images are displayed: Press Alt+F10 Nte: OR frm a Dminatr wrkstatin, click Dminatr menu and select Cpy Image File. OR frm a Catapult wrkstatin, click the Ambass menu and select Cpy Image File. The pinter changes t the fllwing symbl: Mve the pinter t the image yu want t cpy. Click the image. The Cpy Image File dialg bx pens 4. In the Cpy Image File dialg bx, select the fllwing ptins: Destinatin directry. Select a destinatin drive frm the list. Page 2 f 5

3 The drives listed depend n yur PC cnfiguratin. Fr example: C--lcal drive, D--remvable drive such as USB flash. Destinatin file name. DR cnventin. The system autmatically names the file, and creates a ".PAT" file. Select this ptin if yu want t view the image file n anther DR Systems PACS database. Examples f generated file names: 251F26G F26G0.PAT User supplied. Enter a name fr the image file. Select this ptin if yu want t insert the image in anther prgram. Examples f file names: brain.tif brain.jpeg Destinatin file frmat. TIFF. N ther selectins required. JPEG. Chse a quality level, frm 10 t 100. JPEG is the best available frmat fr inserting int a dcument. AVI. The system displays this cmmand fr series with mre than ne image r frame. AVI files require a user-supplied file name. The recmmended file name extensin is AVI. Chse the fllwing settings fr vide AVI files. Nte: The AVI ptin is disabled if nly ne image is displayed in a square. Fr example, if yu select a mntage, the AVI ptin is disabled. Cmpress. Check if yu want the AVI file cmpressed. It is nrmal t cmpress the images in rder t reduce the file size. Page 3 f 5

4 Frames per Sec (Secnd). Selects the rate at which the system plays back the AVI file by an AVI player. The default is 30 frames per secnd. Frame Selectin bx. The cntrls in this bx allw yu t select and preview the images r frames that will be included in the AVI file. First and Last are the first and last images t be included in the AVI file. Yu can als step t the first and last images in the series r step t the first and last selected images. AVI Preview. Click the preview the vide, which the system displays like a cine. Cpy Anntatins check bx. Select this check bx t include anntatins n the image. Clear this check bx t remve all anntatins frm the image. 5. When finished selecting ptins, click Cpy File. The system cpies the file and saves it t the selected drive. 6. Repeat fr additinal images. Tip: Use a cnsistent naming methd fr the files t easily identify them. 2 Inserting the image in a presentatin r dcument 1. Open the dcument. 2. G t the page where yu want t insert the picture. 3. On the Insert menu, pint t Picture, and then click Frm File. 4. Lcate the flder that cntains the image file. 5. Click the image file and click Insert. 6.
