1 2009 Xpress (new) Rollout This rollout introduces the Xpress (new) framework and the Xpress (new) Allocation System. The new framework is the platform that will house the Xpress (new) business applications. It has a new look and feel with enhancements including docking, pinning, sorting and filtering. The Allocation system includes 6 new reports and the ability to query your allocation data. Getting Around - The Xpress (new) Allocation System can be accessed from the Tree View or Data Warehouse: Tree View under Flowing Gas\Allocation (New) Data Warehouse with the Xpress (New) button in the lower right corner 1

2 The workspace will open to My Xpress. This is your workspace. At this time it will be a platform to provide informative messages describing new features or enhancements, tips on navigation, and similar updates. The functionality to customize this page is in development and will be rolled out to you as it becomes available. 2

3 Home Ribbon Control Tabs on the ribbon take you to related sets of applications. Presently Home and Flowing Gas are the only tabs enabled. User Options allow you to customize your Xpress. Currently the only option is to restore defaults. Flowing Gas Views allow you to bring up tools to access data. Tree View is a navigational tool. Query is for user input to define parameters. Action is a basic function such as the docking and pinning. You will also have Action functionality within the grid in the Transaction Query. This is the Allocation Transaction where you can query your allocation data. Report Drop-down This is where you find the drop-down for the Allocation Reports. You will select desired report from the Drop-down list. 3

4 Reports - You can have several reports open and stacked. The multiple tabs indicate you have open, stacked reports. These reports are stacked behind the Location Pool Allocation Report. The Location Pool Allocation Report is the one currently available in the workspace. You may have multiple reports open simultaneously by using the anchoring function. Anchoring is when a report has been placed in one of the four main points in the work space. Numbers 1 thru 4 show where the anchors points are located in any workspace. Click on the report tab and drag it over the anchor point where you want to anchor the report in the workspace. 4

5 To re- stack the report (return to tab) click on Report Header Tab and drag over placement arrows. 5

6 Placement Arrows When there is a line connecting the four placement arrows release mouse and the Report will be re-stacked. 6

7 The Report Query After selecting the report from the Allocation Report drop-down menu. Open the Query function. The Query function will be on the right side of the workspace when you first open Xpress (new). Click on the Query tab to open. Click on Query tab to open. To hide the Query click on the Pin icon in the upper right corner of the Query Header. Click on the Pin icon to hide Query. When it is hidden you will see the Query tab on right of workspace. You may also find the Query function by clicking the Application Menu Button in the Upper left corner. Application Button (EP Logo) 7

8 Query requirements by Report Certain fields are required to be populated in the report queries. Below are the input requirements for each of the 6 reports: Contract Allocation Report Pipeline must be populated Flow Month must be populated Contract must be populated Location Allocation Report Pipeline must be populated Must populate begin and end date of the Date Range with Flow Month blank OR Flow Month populated and Date Range (both begin and end) blank Operator Allocation Report Keep default of Select All or input a location Pipeline must be populated Must populate begin and end date of the Date Range with Flow Month blank OR Flow Month populated and Date Range (both begin and end) blank Keep default of Select All or input a location 8

10 Allocation Transaction Query The Allocation Transaction Query is where you can query on your Allocation data. The columns in the data grid have Dock and Pin functionality. The Action View panel defaults to the left side. It is only found on the Allocation Transaction query, and will not appear for the Allocation Reports. The View tabs default to the right side. Query Requirements Key fields, those used most often, are drop-down fields. The query defaults to the last allocated flow date. There are no required fields, however, the more criteria entered, the more focused the results. A message appears when query results are greater than 5000 records. 10

11 Inside the Transaction Query - Each column header has the function icons They indicate the Sort, Sum, Filter and Pin. The Query, Print Preview, Print, Restore View, Export, Stack View and Close functions are available in the Action View. To sort by a single column, click once on the column header. The triangle icon will appear indicating the sort order. For example, after clicking on the Receipt Dth column, the header indicates an ascending sort order. To reverse the sort order, click on the column header once again. Ascending Descending To sort by multiple columns, click on the first column, then, while holding the CTRL key, click on subsequent column(s) in the desired order. Both column headers will have a triangle indicating ascending or descending sort order. The icon provides ability to establish certain functions depending on the column. For example, the Receipt Dth column would have the Average, Maximum, Minimum, Sum, and Count. You can choose any or all by checking appropriate boxes. 11

12 To Filter click the Icon and choose from the drop down list of option or the custom option. The options will be based on the column data. The Receipt Dth Column The Delivery Location Column The icon allows you to Pin or fix a column. The column selected remains in place while the other columns can scroll. If you choose Fix to Near Edge the selected column will be placed on left and if you choose Fix to Far Edge the selected column will be placed on the right. The example below is pinning the Customer Name column first selecting the Fix to Near Edge option and then the Fix to Far Edge option. Customer Name Column fixed on left. Customer Name Column fixed on right Saving, Printing, and Exporting - Both the Allocation Transaction and the Reports have the ability to save your query parameters by selecting SAVE. You will find your saved queries under OPEN. When saving you have the option to share your query. This will allow others with the same permissions as yourself to use your query. 12

13 Both the Allocation Transaction Query and the Reports have the ability to export and/or print. The Print and Export functions are found under the Action Tab for the Allocation Transaction Query. The Print and Export functions are found on the Toolbar for the Reports. Export options include Excel, CSV (comma delimited), Acrobat (PDF) file, XML file, TJFF file, and Web Archive. For the Transaction Query CSV (comma delimited) or PDF are recommended. For the Reports Excel or PDF are recommended.
